100% This is exactly the reason why Chol is so important to the side. His defensive efforts for a key forward are among the best in the competition. He's 4th for tackles among key forwards, and 3rd for pressure acts. -

Reeves as sub is an awful idea! Either bring him in as a one-out ruck and rest Meek, or don't play him at all. Agree with Gunston though, he is looking good. Worst case scenario we can put him down for 3 quarters and sub him out if he is getting tired (pending no other injuries). -

Opinion AFL 2025 Round 9 - Weekend Wrap & Liked, Learnt, Hated
Liked: Every game was a close one this weekend. Most were worth watching too (except the Ross Lyon coached game, as usual). Even the Hawks game only became a blow-out in Q4. We have Weddle who can do the same but better. We also have Chol, who will be much easier to release up the ground when Dear (and Lewis) are back in the side. I love Nashy, but he is limited. Hustwaite has better game sense and MUCH better disposal. -

Ryan and Mraz will both hopefully get at least one game this year. Scaife too, but he might just be unlucky. Dear should be back in the AFL line up next week, or the following week at worst. Then Lewis hopefully another month after that. With a healthy list he is about 6th in line for two... -

Threw his body at everything against the Tigers. Was an absolute madman and one of our best in the 1st half. Deserves a rest. We don't need him against the Demons anyway - will be much more important to match up on Ben King the following week. -
