I was hard against Melksham, thought he was only being picked up cause he was mates with Goody. He has completely proven me wrong though, is an absolute gun and i have egg all over my face on that one.

Oliver and Francis would have been a sick draft.

Fair catch. So i deliberated on a few options before going all in on Oliver prior to the draft, no shame in that. Lets hope Melbourne also come to their senses and avoid drafting Rake Jackson with our first pick :thumbsu:

Careful mate, better not have an opinion unless youve flown around the country to view dozens of u18 games and personally interviewed all the prospective draft stars...

Jeez sorry everyone. Recruiters always get it right and the layman should just keep his mouth shut and not offer an opinion. Forgive me for wanting Wines over Toumpas, Oliver over Parish and now Green over Jackson. All hail the impeccable MFC recruiting team.

I am glad your comment is recorded for posterity then. I think Green is the best talent at that pick and if we dont place a bid here then we are only hurting ourselves.

2019 AFL draft - Jackson at 3, Pickett at 12 and Rivers at 32

Good bump. Reading that, heres what i posted before that draft. "Who we would have drafted under Bailey: Weedy-man Perish Malaria Who we would have drafted under Neeld: Re-draft Ro Bail Who we should draft under Roos: Oliver Curnow" -- note, the spelling of 'Perish' was intentional...

Bullshit. I was dead against Parish and wanted Oliver, as many here did.

2019 AFL draft - Jackson at 3, Pickett at 12 and Rivers at 32

Every melbourne supporter i know was super excited about Clayton when it was revealed we would be taking him as our first pick. Now most melbourne supporters i talk to are highly skeptical about taking a speculative ruckman from interstate. Clayton was the obvious pick. Jackson is nowhere near...

All jokes aside, i think this is a dumb pick by a dumb recruiter and the footballing equivalent of driving a samurai sword into ones own chest. It makes me dry retch how stupid and arrogant this club is.

Who can take two top ten picks and turn them into spuds? The Melbourne maaan, oh the Melbourne man can.

2019 AFL draft - Jackson at 3, Pickett at 12 and Rivers at 32

Jason taylor has gone full ******* ****** gambling on a gangly west australian who will be either a) a bust, or b) good, then request a trade to west coast. And it sounds like he'll bid on this guy without even throwing a bid at the clear best available, Patty Cripps clone, Tom Green...

2019 AFL draft - Jackson at 3, Pickett at 12 and Rivers at 32

If we dont bid on Green then it means some sort of 'arrangement' has been reached with the MFC and either the giants or the AFL. Otherwise it is absolutely ludicrous that we would pass up Tom Green. This is the club that offered a job to Phil Scully just to get his son over the line. fu** them...
