Not sure how people are predicting a 22 without Tim O'Brien. Walk up start, for mine, unless there is a medical reason. Finished 2019 in stellar form and no reason to see things changing. It is going to be an interesting 22. A few to choose from.

If you mention Hawthorn tanking, before round one, on face value you are a spud.

Prediction Our best 22 for Round 1 2020

I think the first 2-3 weeks will show what Poppy has left in the tank. Might be surprising with him not having to be a marking target and gathering crumbs. Good luck to him. Reckon Stratton had a good back half to 2019 and will carry that into 2020. The front half of 2019 was poor/average as he...

That won't be good if it's an ACL. Will be his second.

    Preview Marsh Week 2 - Hawthorn v Melbourne - UTas Stadium - Friday March 6, 7.40pm

Is part of the problem trying to work out how to play so many talls in the side? Not sure how it's going to work. Hated seeing the ball go to Patton, at full forward, and hit the deck with zero support. Got mopped up repeatedly.

It still just boils down to a practice match... albeit a frigging ugly one by our lads. We're a chance against Brisbane, but i'd like to see some more speed in the side. Think we look sloooow.

I rate him. I thought Hanrahan showed some glimpses. I understand he's not training well, but he does look to have some skills on game day. Some aggressive tackling, a snap or two at goal and a few goodish things. Not sure of his stats, but did see him making an effort and using the ball...

    Preview Marsh Week 2 - Hawthorn v Melbourne - UTas Stadium - Friday March 6, 7.40pm

That last quarter we were just kicking in hope and it kept landing in a cluster of Demons. All looked a little pointless from Hawthorn's point of view after 3/4 time. And as crap as we were playing, i found it kind of strange to see Hawk players laughing. They looked unconcerned. Zero effort...

Isn't Stratton's form determined by the output of his opponents? Not quite sure how they went.
