Couldn't help noticing that way back in season 7 we saw the 3rd player out finish in the runner up chair. Thoughts on outcast vs EoE format given they have both seen early boots with a chance at being crowned winner.

I get all that but I think it really comes back to they stuffed up by not having longer episodes.

Reading through a bit of it and this made me laugh: Random Record Michele Fitzgerald now holds Winners at War As we all know, she lost all 16 jury votes in WAW. Well, if you also include the two she lost in KR (Nick and Joe), Michele actually now holds the record for most jury votes lost by a...

Thanks for sharing that. I'm not a fan of Russell's but agree with most of what he said there. Not a fan of Russell's as although he was entertaining to watch and was brilliant at aspects of the game he lacked in some areas. Did he just play up to the villain role? I don't know.

That's what I'd expect against Tony, against Natalie it's harder to know but against either we have to remember that we and the jury never got to hear Sarah's full pitch.

Any suggestion Sarah fully controlled Tony falls flat as soon as Sophie vote out is mentioned.

I think most would agree with you, including me. However we have all only seen what producers wanted us to see. Another edit wouldn't change that Tony was better with immunity wins and finding HII but there is so much we don't see with social and strategy that it is plausible Sarah was the...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivor_(American_TV_series) shows that first 12 were final 2, plus season 16,18 and 28.

So you're saying that Michael deliberately threw all the reward challenges so he wouldn't be found out!:p

I like that you stand your ground when you believe you are right. I did say "assuming it's accurate" and because of your follow up post looked into it more: https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/Spencer_Duhm has his DOB as 20/12/89 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivor:_Tocantins has filming...

I tried googling it and found this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Survivor_(American_TV_series)_contestants Assuming it's accurate it has Will from Millennial and Michael from Ghost Island as both 18, Spencer and a few others as 19. I didn't see Millennial season but glenferry23...

TV Survivor 40 (Winners at War)

What do you think she should have said? The answer I suspect as honest of 'I wasn't confident of being able to beat him' wouldn't have cut it either. In the same way Rob (I think) questioned Natalie about her social game on EoE, one wonders if she practiced making fire on EoE (or did practice...

Ethan doesn't belong on that list given he voted for Natalie ahead of Tony.

Me too. On reflection I can only assume that Natalie knew the EoE perception of Denise's game was as stronger than Sarah's. Kind of makes sense given Denise took out Sandra and had multiple immunity wins. We perceived Sarah's game as stronger as she was more dictating the game than Denise but...

TV Survivor 40 (Winners at War)

From Sarah's reaction to Natalie saying EoE players perceived Tony as 'the boss' makes me wonder whether a big part of Sarah's game was keeping votes off Tony, especially in the middle part of the game. I think it was very much a case of neither would have gotten as far as they did without the...

TV Survivor 40 (Winners at War)

That's one way to look at it. Ben (or anyone with PTSD and mental health battles) might see it as $2m not worth much if self image and how others perceive you mean those battles could get the better of you. I liked him in his 1st season and he was okay this one.

I like your logic. I can also see why Tony was happy to keep Ben as part of his alliance and friendship and Tony wasn't one to be afraid of other players beating him.

TV Survivor 40 (Winners at War)

When I think about it, it may have been lucky for Tony too. If Sarah and Ben had listened to him I think Denise would still have left at 6 but with Tony and Ben still having their idols. Then at 5 Ben could have saved himself and Tony saved Sarah (last time to play idol) and Michelle would have...

TV Survivor 40 (Winners at War)

Old schoolers have generally appeared multiple times so we've seen more of them. Add that people like Nick have grown up idolising people like Parvati and there is more nostalgia because of that. Producers challenge is to invite back the correct players from more recent series (more likely those...

TV Survivor 40 (Winners at War)

Agree that it seemed a bit out of place. I thought some of it was Sarah making a good speech to the jury to talk her game up a bit (good move considering if Nat or Michelle had ended on the jury instead of her she'd be pitching for 7 women's vote) as a response to the suggestion that Tony was...
