List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

That's what I've been getting at. It's just a vibe.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

I'm not losing sleep over it, just getting a vibe.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

Posturing means setting up their position. What paperwork? All he's done is asked to be traded. He hasn't resigned (not re-signed). He hasn't signed any other contract. He's still on the list until the trade has been done.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

Just wondering...is there a chance this is still just posturing from Chesser to try and extract a better offer or has the horse officially bolted. Specifically as his manager is also Harley's (I believe). It just feels wierd. I've got a strange feeling that he still stays.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

There is very little reference to Chesser on the Carlton board.

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

So whats the deal. Do we need to agree to a trade? I get he is out of contract but surely we hold the reigns on this one otherwise he goes to the PSD.

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

I watched a youtube clip last night of Sam Grlj. He is a very classy act from what I saw. His lateral movement seems elite. Great break away speed and his decision making was very mature. Very fast, clean hands. Good tackler as well. Now, I must admit it was a highlights package so he was the...

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition

You mean trade Pick 2 that we are getting for a beaten up 26 year old who plays a position where we are overstocked, for a 24 year old who completely fills an absolute gaping whole in our list???? Um, yes. Sign me up. Throw in Chesser.

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition

This is unlikely, but is there a world where West Coast grow a pair and throw stupid money at Jai Newcombe? In my eyes he would be the perfect fit for our midfield. Can you imagine the carnage that he and Harley could inflict. The bonus being that it would supremely piss of Sam Mitchell and the...

Prediction Round 16, 2025: Changes vs Collingwood

Disposal and composure in the back 50 would improve if we put Hough back there. Yes, he is worth trying as a mid, but he is really, really good down back. When you add a player with good composure and remove one with less composure its a big percentage improve when you only have 6 backs. Also...

Autopsy Round 12, 2025: Positives and Negatives vs Geelong

Mind you, Oscar seriously burned Tyler Brockman when he snapped from about 25m out on the angle in the pocket. Brockman was at least 15 metres in the clear, nearly at the top of the goal square. Luckily it went through.

Autopsy Round 12, 2025: Positives and Negatives vs Geelong

Good game. I prefer JWilliams to AReid in the forward line, but we can still play both. Simply drop Flynn and play BWilliams in tandem with Archer. Nice combo. Better at ground level as well. Archers field kicking is very tidy. Might not be as big as Flynn but is actually more physical and the...

Prediction Round 11, 2025: Changes vs Kuwarna

I want Hough on Rankine. Bring in Hall for midfield rotations...but for the love if God don't have Cole on Rankine.
  14. B

Prediction Round 11, 2025: Changes vs Kuwarna

As good as Hough has been in the middle the last few weeks, we really need him down back. It is night and day what Hough provides that Cole does not. Not saying our midfield is flush with options, but surely bringing Hall into the middle and allowing Hough to go back (Cole to the WAFL) would be...

    Prediction Round 10, 2025: Changes vs Euro-Yroke

I like Hough, but we can try him in the middle later. We have mids that can do the mid role...so... Hough down back - Cole out. Gross in for a full game JWilliams in - Reid out McGovern in - HEdwards out Bring in Hall.

Autopsy Round 8, 2025: Positives and Negatives vs Melbourne

Was at the game. As much as I like Maric, he is not strong enough in the contest yet. His mistakes will get fewer with time. OAllen plays down back like he plays up forward....no idea how to use his body to advantage. He needs to learn how to initiate contact to disrupt the run of the opposition...

That may be the vision that was sold to him, but he would be very happy with the way JWilliams has progressed. So whether its OA or JW in the forward line with him I dont think he is going anywhere.

List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

Because this next upcoming draft there are clubs with good draft capital. Next year not so much.
  19. B

List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

I agree, but what power if any does WC have to insist it happens this year? What are the chances Harley just holds out until next year and we get left with very little in return?

List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

Damn grammar. Yes. Re-signs. Extends. Decides to stay.

List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

Correct. I actually think that he is pretty happy here. Its just all the outside noise that gets people talking about it. I also agree that in terms of a contract value, signing this year compared to next doesnt really shift the needle dollar wise. Its already about as high as its going to...

List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

Hey guys Be kind as I just want to try and digest what I saw on a Youtube post last night. Excuse me if its already been discussed. So, if we get Band 1 Comp for OA (which I hope we pursue) and if HR decides to leave (to Essendon who have the best draft capital), as it stands we could have a...

Prediction Round 5, 2025: Changes vs Carlton

Silly to say but we will have some selection issues in a few weeks time. Ideally I'd like to see this: Out: Long for Waterman Cole for BAllen Kelly for Hutchison Owies or Brockman for Hewitt Duggan should be dropped but wont be. Allen holding on by the skin of his teeth. Brock does not get...

Autopsy Round 4, 2025: Positives and Negatives vs GWS

I watched the game for the first time last night. Sandy Brock really impressed me. Hit the contest hard. Kicking was very good. I think he made one or 2 mistakes. But I dont think many full backs were going to stop Jesse Hogan. His hands were sublime. I think Sandy and Gov will make a nice...

List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

Watched the game for the first time last night. Harley looked calm and composed. Very few mistakes. Although he excels when playing on the edge...he showed just how good he can be even when not on the edge. Looked more mature than 19.

Prediction Round 5, 2025: Changes vs Carlton

Could Ginbey tag Patrick Cripps? Just asking. Big tank. Big body. Faster than Cripps. Not wanting to rob Peter to pay Paul but just spit balling.

Media Thread, 2025: Insightful, Inciteful and Incomptent

I was listening to the ABC commentary and heard Ryan O'Keefe make a comment about Harley along the lines of "you can just tell he is definitely not going to be there next year". Like, how can you just tell. Because you are a Victorian with an agenda. Now, we've heard similar statements made...

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition

You do realise that if we do that then other clubs will just offer less and we probably then wont get the extra pick as a RFA. Sounds like cutting off ones nose to spite ones face. Somehow we just need to hold our collective breaths, not increase our current offer...in fact perhaps take $50K...

List Mgmt. The 2024 Draft (Nov 20/21)

Hi Phil I want to be excited by your optimism, but your last projection of optimism was gazumped by our recruitment teams ineptitude... resulting in the biggest outpouring of depression I've seen on Bigfooty. And that's saying something. I hope your positive vibes are received by Clarke and Pyke.

List Mgmt. Contract, Trade and Draft Discussions - 2024 Post Season

Not happy with Trew going. Actually has the right attributes and toughness. Not enough opportunity. Only reason I see to delist is because we will try to trade out Rotham for a pathetic type draft pick and perhaps redrafting Trew.
