Well I'm not sure who in the league can push Dunkley out of his position... That's who he's competing against. Like McCarthy... Dev has shown with VFL form that he's probably better than anything we've currently got

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

Most on here thought that getting jack Graham last year was let's say.. an uninspiring move. He's proved serviceable but let's not get carried away... He would have no chance to get into the stacked Brisbane midfield. I see Dev as equal to Graham defensively and prob bit better offensively so...

Dev would be our best midfielder... (Defensive)

It's because of the dumbest rule in all of sports (stand rule)... Where outside receivers can just cheat their way at the beginning. Once that rule gets turfed it'll even out in terms of contested vs outside players as to which has higher draft value

Agree as well Keep both the top 2 picks and decide to take whoever is best for us. Splitting means that duursma sharp, Lindsay, Grilj maybe Farrow will be off the board. Just grow a pair and take whichever combo of those guys and don't leave anything to chance

    Rather dev Robertson than Butler

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

No not comparing game styles. Both excellent players... I just think grjl as an elite run and carry player is more suitable for us(I mean Patterson or Lindsay would also suffice).. we have literally no one on the list who can do that. Plus i feel that he is able to play more inside than sharp...

If Chesser was staying I'd agree with taking sharp probably But now we just need elite runners who can play whatever game plan the coach is trying to currently implement... We got torched on transition soo bad this year it was pathetic

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

Watching the highlights of sharp and grjl this evening I've got to disagree... Both tough as nails however grjl moves way better... More translatable to modern AFL. In my opinion getting an experienced inside mid like Neale or Steele is better than drafting sharp at this stage and expecting...

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

Both arguments have merit... Basically comes down to whether you want a combo of 1. Sharp, duursma, and maybe leray vs 2. Duursma, grijl, phillipou/swaddling

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

We have Harley Hewett, dead yeo, Graham too compensate inside... Outside speedsters and line breakers we have diddly sweet f..k all
  16. R

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

Yep that too... But more likely to still be there mid first round... Line breakers likely to be gone by then

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

It's probably the same as Lachie neale wanting to finish his career in WA.. with age profile and all that... Cripps in a similar boat
  18. R

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bigger play here with Chesser and Carlton... Perhaps Cripps is wanting to come back to WA. Package our assistance package and Chesser maybe?

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

He probably doesn't rate Mini's coaching and club vision
  20. R

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

That's all subjective based on who is rating them right now... There is a consensus top ten(ish) I guess. With Chesser going we are more cooked than ever with lack of speed... Your argument would be more valid if I'd offered some pleb to be part of the top 2 I doubt Grilj will make it past...

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

No one knows for about 3 years who the better player will be... Just draft for attributes they are good at at the moment... And what we need
  22. R

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

Disagree.. the lack of speed and run from our mids is our biggest Achilles heel.. even more so than contested ball We'll be able to find a contested ball pig between 10 and 20... And the gun speedsters will be gone by then
  23. R

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

Well if he's an elite runner then yes. Otherwise no... Prioritise the run

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

If Chesser goes then Eagles should change their top two selections. I'd relectantly forgo sharp.. and bring in the run of duursma and grilj pick 1 and 2 We can pick up contested players later in the first round should we be able to upgrade our selections
  25. R

List Mgmt. Welcome Campbell Chesser (Pick 14, 2021 National Draft)

It's honestly fine if he stays or goes... Providing we can get another quick winger with a tank from somewhere else... Doesn't have to be Carlton Alternatively an early second rounder... Or psd Body of work over four years is non existent (them the breaks with injuries)... 2 year deal is smart...

News Offseason Staffing Changes - 2025 Edition

Don't know if our fitness is that great... I mean most of our players can only run for half a game just saying. Adding that yeo couldn't get onto the park... Waterman dead.. etc etc We move on... another fitness guy might be better
  29. R

List Mgmt. Welcome Elijah Hewett (Pick 14, 2022 National Draft)

I don't know man... Seems like a trade bait option if Harley stays. They are pretty much similar players with Harley being way better. Seems that we are a couple of runners short and have a couple of burst players too many. Anyways needs a massive preseason to get back to level after dropping...
