Wrong, i'm just a pessimist who loves hyperbole who happens to watch a lot more footy than everyone else. Plus I have put a lot of work into reading & understanding the metrics that are used. Aka the data to back up the "trust me bro" confirmation bias which everyone seems to form the same...

I'm glad you're so convinced. We could do with a modern day Tyrone Vickery to partner Williams.

A common "views and opinions expressed" disclaimer states that the opinions presented are those of the author or speaker and do not necessarily reflect the views of their employer, institution, or any other affiliated organization. A simple example is, "The views expressed herein are solely...

Its the safety of the pick. In 2017 it was a weak top end, and Andrew Brayshaw was a safe bet for a no frills inside mid. (I think Redden > Brayshaw) We're in the same position where the next 5 best are all Patty Dow/ Cam McKenzie level. One could turn out as a Zac Bailey but you can't pick it.

All the rest are forwards/defenders (except silver spoon Max Knob who only plays 3rds) I think the AFL as a whole just have given up on actually developing rucks.

If he played forward so much then it wouldn't hurt to hit the scoreboard🙄 Bailey Williams had pretty much identical year despite being a leapfrog that can't kick straight. CDT a better centre half forward option, Williams better deeper. 👍Would have gone in the mid-late 30's last year

If we got a Redden clone in the draft at any stage since 2019( 263 games and a lock 22 from year 1) he would be our best player picked barring maybe H Reid. This draft is weak weak.

Sharp isn't 1D. I think he was 2nd for uncontested possessions at the Champs. Is a real good link up player after stoppages if that's what you want in a player. Also, his ball winning is definitely a tier below Rowell, Green, Cripps, Wines etc I think he would end up with something like a...

Agreed. I think he's best suited as a winger and is a better version of Chesser.

4th in the comp for tackles per game. Definitely a mid and probably would have won our B&F if not for the silly mistake of reading the cover of led zeppelin 4 out loud.

We use him because he is actively creating run. Its where you have the needle set to as a defender. I remember the days where you could lock in the oppo small forward for 4 goals a game against us week in week out. That was with Shep, Waters, Yeo & Glass running around. I think we have been...

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

A few things incorrect here: Duggo intercepts a whole heap more and provides way more run and carry and is a 2 way player. Starcevic locks down better yes, but hardly any better than at Tom Cole level who has always been handy. Aaaand Starcevic is 2cm taller than Duggan, plays small but gets...

Has been on the GC list for what, 3 years already? I think he's pretty close to the finished product.

We will go tall with our second selection (wherever it may land) considering all the mids are shithouse. Look out for Aidan Schubert a lot earlier than expected.

Midfielders are largely finished products straight out of the packaging. Chris Judd peaked at 23, Peter Matera at 25, Kerr at 24 etc. Warner wont put out another season equal or better than 2024. He will just be a 22 odd disposal mid who doesn't defend and has a terribly low kicking efficiency...

KPF take a good 4-5 years to get going and that's without any setbacks. As far as "gettable" talls coming in: Jed Walter is in the same bracket of not ready yet, GC would be reluctant to let him go. Georgiades has hit the mark and would be $$$ from Port. Curtin is more of a Jack Watts style...

Corrrct same- same , and McDonald is purely an average player right now with a little bit of natural improvement still to come. Warner has already peaked. But its not crazy to think he could be top 10 Coleman over the next few seasons or at least put out what Brody Mihocek does. I'd rather...

Im not saying I want him. Just that he's not the worst player. AFL standard for sure. Year long injuries are something to avoid. Plus we have plenty of KPF options already.

He's a 40 goal a season forward currently. Well ahead of where OA & Waterman were at the same age.

So Shanahan, Harley Reid, Ginbey & Maric don't "shift the needle"? Age profile is a BS myth. No one in the country would want Graham over Levi Ashcroft. We need to bring in another 6 AA quality players over the next 3 years, and then they have to play for another decade after that. Paying up...

By that metric Jy Simpkin should cost us 3x first rounders then? No he wouldn't. Would be a quicker Dom Sheed that couldn't kick running around there. I think you're confusing a player having a good year in a good team (2024) with actually being multifaceted in a lot of other areas. Things he...

Why the hell does everyone want Warner so badly? He's a worse version of Tim Kelly (& that worked out so well last time😆)
