    2nds WAFL Watch - 2025 Edition

It’s a tough one for the umpire. Without the 50m it was not a realistic chance for a score. He was kicking from 90m. Would they have been screaming for the same decision if it was in the back pocket? Also, the only thing that robbed them was the disgusting game style they implemented for 3...

    List Mgmt. Contracts/Trade/Draft Thread - 2025 Edition Vol 2

I believe the club is showing strong interest in Claremont mature age defender Max Minear. Been reported a few times in the west. Has meetings with both WCE and Collingwood in coming weeks. 24 years old and a great size for a KPD. Pretty raw in terms of footy and unsure how he would go at the...

Great recap of where we at Keys. Some information that I have gathered in the last 24 hours, none of the outcomes really come as a surprise. Oscar Allen has told close mates he doesn't even have a contract in front of him from West Coast, and is definitely heading to Brisbane. This shows, that...

Your understanding is a fair way off the mark. Joined the leadership group in 2014 and was in it until 2023 (I think).

Newton is not playing WAFL, so assume he is injured.

Personally, have never ventured to another clubs board, other than Freo’s once or twice to inform them on info I have gathered.

Unsure if it’s been covered in this forum, apologies if so. Have it on good word, Bobby Hill has done the dirty on his partner. She has packed up and left with the kids, back to Perth. Has told him, he needs to come home if he wants to see them at all. What would he be worth in a trade? We...

Cripps heading straight up to Geraldton as soon as he has finished, whether it be this year or next. Tom Cole would be one I could see potentially staying on in this role. Loves the club and is much loved around the club. If he doesn’t get another contract and can’t find a new home, he could...

    2nds WAFL Watch - 2025 Edition

All of those guys mentioned other than Baker, have been given the opportunity and tried in different positions and are now finally settling into their own - whether it be half back or wing in Maric’s case. I think a guy we spent pick 14 on, that other than a 2-3 game stretch in the WAFL last...

List Mgmt. Draftee, NGA and Father/Son Discussion - 2025

Agree. I can't see Richmond winning another one. We should beat them at home and then it wouldn't surprise me to see us pinch one or two others. I think our percentage will be greater than Richmonds also.

    2nds WAFL Watch - 2025 Edition

It is so bleedingly obvious that Chesser needs a change in role. Please play him off half back in the WAFL for 4 weeks and see what happens. If that fails, give him the last month inside the midfield. That way we can at least say we gave him a crack at some different roles. In a positive for...

Sharp to me looks like a similar type to Ryle Sanders at the bulldogs. Will be a nice AFL player, a good accumulator, but not sure he is the type of player you take with pick 1. That being said, if it’s not him, I don’t know who it is for us.

    2nds WAFL Watch - 2025 Edition

I only got to watch the first half, and thought Chesser was on track for a really good game. Was strong around the contest and got involved in handball chains which lead to scores. He obviously fell away in the second half, along with most of the team. The time is now to try him off half back...

Stats man having a shocker. Has Chesser listed as 8, have counted at least 11. Had a really good first half. Grego was good also, holds the ball a fraction too long, looking for the perfect option. Shanahan will be a serious player, either end of the ground and Malakai looks super dangerous...

Injury BHHIU (Formerly SJOGHCIU) - 2025 Fingers Crossed Edition

Gov and his family and close friends have all but come to terms with his retirement. I think that is entirely based on feelings, as the panel obviously has the final say when he meets with them next Thursday, but they are confident he won't be playing again. Hard luck for a champion of our club.

Was fortunate enough to chat with Jamie Cripps at training Saturday. He mentioned he was keen to go on next year, but that would definitely be his last. Is currently doing renovations to his house in Geraldton and will move back there once he finishes. I think his form is worthy of another...

Game Day Round 10, 2025: Waalitj Marawar vs Euro-Yroke

I was at the club yesterday for captains run. There has been some flu/sickness through the club this week. Jack Graham wasn’t at training, unsure if this was sickness related, so potentially a chance for a late change - I would expect Hall to come in, if that’s the case.

Injury BHHIU (Formerly SJOGHCIU) - 2025 Fingers Crossed Edition

Apologies for taking so long to get back to this. I have clarified and been told that he has 17 recorded concussions from when he started playing colts at Claremont. I’ve seen the west reporting that he is a chance to play next week, but my mail is that it is becoming more and more likely that...

Injury BHHIU (Formerly SJOGHCIU) - 2025 Fingers Crossed Edition

Have some pretty reliable info that Gov is still completely in the dark on how this concussion will play out. Could be back playing next week, or could be finished for good. Will learn a lot in the next week or so, and will meet with the AFL and concussion experts to map next step. He is also...

List Mgmt. Welcome Lucca Grego (Pick 48, 2024 National Draft)

I read it here the other day and couldn’t agree more, but his highlights and seeing him live at preseason training, reminds me a lot of Chad Warner. Has that explosive speed from stoppage, happy to take on the tackle and has a real belief in his own ability. On top of this has very neat skills...

Autopsy Round 4, 2025: Positives and Negatives vs GWS

Alright, I am sick of being negative, so trying to look at as many positives as I can. I have split all the team into tiers, where I believe they currently fit. Tier 1 - Hawthorn, Brisbane, GWS, Adelaide, Gold Coast Tier 2 - Fremantle, Bulldogs, Sydney, Collingwood, Geelong Tier 3 - St...

Game Day Round 3, 2025: West Coast vs Fremantle - The Owen Derby

Agree I would have liked to see Hall retained, but how about we trust match committee. Graham and Hall is a straight swap, positionally. Hall was pretty good, but faded after half time. Long is playing in a high half forward role which is very unrewarding at times, but can be crucial for the...

Game Day Round 3, 2025: West Coast vs Fremantle - The Owen Derby

I can’t imagine we name both Flynn and JWill as emergencies. I think we will revert back to a 3 tall forward line, meaning JWill comes in as a forward only. Long to be dropped, Hewett or Hall to sub. Leaving us with Maric (Back), Dewar (outside mid), Hall (inside mid) and JWill (forward) +...

List Mgmt. Welcome Tyrell Dewar (Category B Rookie)

Gives off massive Harley Bennell vibes to me (Gold coast version). Such a smooth operator, classy around goals. The team is better when he is involved. Really hope he can stay injury free and get a whole season. Could be a star.
