Certified Legendary Thread 2017 The Summer of George Trade Period Part 1

I can't think of any other reason AFL house would give the same compo Franklin got for Motlop.

Certified Legendary Thread 2017 The Summer of George Trade Period Part 1

Pick 19 will surely go to GC for Ablett.

Prediction Changes vs West Coast Eagles

He's cooked this year. Our midfield statistically had it's best game in 2 years this weekend with him not playing.

Prediction Changes vs West Coast Eagles

You'd be better off hoping he does play tbh.

    Recruiting Targets Summary

Word is he was watching his thread on your board and waiting for it to be unlocked before announcing his new contract :D

    Negating Naitanui

I'm not saying they weren't going for the ball a couple all the time but there were obviously a couple of occasions where they infringed but it wasn't picked up. No I don't think the rule should be changed and no I don't think it's a big deal, just an issue which Woosha seems to have picked up...

    Negating Naitanui

There's nothing wrong with bod contact in a ruck contest, that's not what this is about. Did you even read the article?? It's about opposition ruckmen using their bodies to block Naita's run at the ball without actually making a legitimate attempt to go for the ball themselves, which is against...

    Negating Naitanui

I suggest you re-read what you've just written. If it's already against the rules, why do the rules/interpretations need to be changed? So it can be even more against the rules???

    Negating Naitanui

That's not what it's about. What it's about is that a few times, ruckmen have gone in at Naitanui to take him out of the contest and had no intention of going for the ball. Was quite noticeable against Melbourne where Jamar kept jumping at Naita with his knees and not making a realistic attempt...

    Negating Naitanui

Like I said, I didn't watch the game so I don't know but for the head of the umpires to say there were a few frees missed, then there were a few frees missed. Noone's proposing rule changes here, just consistent umpiring.

    Negating Naitanui

What the argument is about is that the ruckmen are taking Naitanui out instead of making a realistic attempt to go for the ball. Nothing wrong with good body work if you're still going for the ball. No different to shepherding someone out of a marking contest.

    Negating Naitanui

They're not proposing changing the rules at all, what they said was there were a few frees that were there that weren't paid. Fair enough, whatever, doesn't affect the game result. What Worsfold is merely saying is that he wants his player to have a fair run at the ball in future and if the...

    Negating Naitanui

Didn't watch the game so can't comment but did watch the Melbourne game and it was quite annoying to see Naitanui blatantly shepherded out of nearly every ruck contest with not a single free paid. Umps can only pay what they see though and if you can get away with it, you may as well do it.
