Collingwood are anything but shoe-ins, are they in trouble?

Oh for sure. Not something that can be implemented for a bottom team, as they need the young talent as the foundation of the side. Will be interesting to see what they do when Dangerfield, Camron and Stewart retire. Can't see them dropping down the ladder too far though.

Collingwood are anything but shoe-ins, are they in trouble?

They're the only club that continuously brings in older state league talent and aren't afraid to do it with earlier draft picks, whilst still bringing in young players, but they can do this because they're already set up to contend. It's amazing other teams don't do this, considering the...

Mega Thread Nick Daicos - Can he be the GOAT? Part 2

Could probably be the GOAT of umpiring, considering how much he does it in game.

    Nope. Retired in '09.

English. Some Thai. Err, what? What 'oldies' are you referring to exactly? Umm, we had the worst season in AFL history. You're taking the piss if you think we'll get worse, considering WCE will clear the last of the deadwood and our players get a year older, with a proper preseason.

    Yep, around 92,379 I reckon.

Yeah. Can't say I feel much for them after they tried to pinch Harley, stole our high performance manager and carried on like they won a GF when they pipped us by 2 points at Optus.

He doesn't get a choice in this instance and needs to grow the **** up.

He might want to start, considering it was an joint media day arranged by the club and not some rando taking photos. AFL won't like this look whatsoever.

Hmm, is that all? That's disappointingly tame. I'm sure that barely scratches the surface.

Be interesting to know what else has been brushed under the rug, considering the CEO of the AFL felt compelled to drive to his house to give him a pep talk.

She should take pictures of him with Tammy Harbrow and post them on social media instead. He'd love that.

Z Merrett meets Hawks / betrayal

Coaches talk to opposition players all the time in season. Carlton have been supposedly working on Chesser since last year. You think WCE supporters aren't pissed a first rounder, who's finally got his body right and showed some good form to end the year, is now suddenly doing a runner to...

Z Merrett meets Hawks / betrayal

Why? Players are allowed to look for new opportunities. What? You think they get access to the player without speaking to the agent first? Who do you think is 'spreading' this stuff?

Z Merrett meets Hawks / betrayal

They've been doing this for decades. Not sure why you're surprised. How else will they know if the player wants to move if they don't talk to their manager first? Nobody in any business talks to the employer at another business about an employee they are looking to poach. Strange take.

Z Merrett meets Hawks / betrayal

It's irrelevant what Essendon say. There's nothing stopping him from shopping himself around. He can meet with another club and make a trade request. Essendon can then decide if they want to entertain it, or keep him.

Should Carlton be allowed to play home games at Princes Park?

No but driven past it plenty of times. Easy to get to. Dunno about the parking though.

Should Carlton be allowed to play home games at Princes Park?

Been there lately? It's a complete dump. Would need a hell of a lot of work to fix up but I could see it being used for home games against non-Vic sides. Shit ground to get to though.

Their 'home' crowd is also skewed by hosting the opening game against Carlton, dreamtime game and a home game vs Collingwood, of which, only the round 1 game got over 60k(it got 80k). There's a reason they're looking to sell games, 5 seasons after winning 3 flags in 4 years.

We made finals 5 years ago and finished 9th in 2021. Not sure how this mystery rebuild started in 2020 from 5th place.
