    XBX The Elders Scrolls VI

With the latest round of job losses and game cancellations at Microsoft (and by extension Bethesda), is there any doubt now regarding the future of this game?

    XBX The Elders Scrolls VI

It will probably still beat The Winds of Winter to release too, tbh.

Hopefully the reaction to Fallout 76 and Starfield causes a more cautious and considered effort. At least, to CD Projekt's credit, they worked immensely hard to remedy Cyberpunk for years after the release and finally got it to a point that they probably wanted at release.

Welcome to the 7th anniversary of this thread. What fool pre-maturely started this discussion?

Makes you wonder if a release is closer than expected. 2026 unlikely, but maybe early 2027?

    Time to go nirnroot hunting.

There's a particular bandit who allows you to get to 100 sneak in about 20 minutes.

    Multiplat Oblivion Remaster

Yeah, but that looks like a massive step down graphically. I could buy that the Remaster looks like a current generation game (at least in the aesthetics).

    Multiplat Oblivion Remaster

Yeah, so it took less than 24 hours and I caved in and bought it. I hope at some point mods will be available (I'm not sure if the game infrastructure allows it).

This hits me right in the nostalgia. This was my go-to game in high school and IMO a much better game than Skyrim (outside of the graphics). The cost for the new version is quite steep, however, I might purchase it when I have some spare time and relive the adventures (particularly that Dark...

Multiplat The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Tales of a legendary card playing, camomile drinking adventurer

Some updates from CD Projekt Red's Investors Meeting: The game is not expected to be released until at least 2027 (not that surprising considering we're already a quarter of the way through 2025). The game is in full production with 58% of CDPR's developers now working on Witcher 4 (411...

Good video from one of my favourite game reviews. He may like Witcher 3 almost as much as I do:

    News The Witcher 4

The main issue is that her teleporting was OP as well as her parts often feeling like they occurred in confined space comparative to much of the Geralt combat. I doubt either of those will be issues for her as the protagonist in the next game.

The top one's worth a watch as it is an excellent analysis of the cinematics. The other two are just for the lols at the start of the trailer. You can take them or leave them.

Love this breakdown from a filmmaker who goes through the structure of the trailer: Also the most OTT reactions to the trailer: Wish I could muster that much enthusiasm for anything (and TW3 is my favourite game).

News General gaming stuff, random news etc

Enjoyed this commentary on Ubisoft's current plight, particularly Greg's comment when he compares the experience of playing their most recent games as "like being in an all-you-can-eat oatmeal buffet". Really good breakdown of the various tactics employed to upsell to consumers (over making good...

A good breakdown from a Youtuber I do enjoy (and Luke Stephens typically takes a sceptical approach to his early reviews as her his video titles): For what it's worth loving the Witcher 3 elements adopted in this most recent footage/play through.

One of the Youtubers I watch for BG3 and Elden Ring content posted this video today with a run down of what we know so far:

Looking pretty good. Although it has to be said that for a game called Crimson Desert it has scarce deserts in that trailer.

    XBX The Elders Scrolls VI

I guess the surprising thing with the delay is the timeframes between the previous games (with 4-6 years being about standard until the most recent iteration): 1994 - Arena 1996 - Daggerfall 2002 - Morrowind 2006 - Oblivion 2011 - Skyrim 2025 onwards - Elder Scrolls 6 Also, I loved Skyrim when...

    XBX The Elders Scrolls VI

Well we've now ticked over 12 years since Skyrim was released so we're definitely in a two-horse race with The Winds of Winter as to which will be the most protracted release. Still no ETA but at least we're on the other side of Starfield and Bethesda are devoting considerable attention to this...

As a wood elf Rogue myself I don't consider that a "little different". Rogue's are pretty OP.

The funny thing is that every single decision you make is both going to simultaneously endear some party members to you and really tick off other party members (mainly Lae'zel, because she's a bit of a sociopath at the start of the game).
  28. eaglespremiers

    Multiplat Baldur's Gate III

The three absolute necessities to work through as a noob IMO: 1. have a balanced party (need a fighter/brawler, a healer, a magic user and a strangely OP rogue); 2. really work hard on each of your party having advantage/proficiencies as much as possible in battles, otherwise when your enemies...
