    Sanderson's Stormlight Archives is excellent (particularly the first). Guy Gavriel Kay is also top notch. Ian Irvine is by far the best fantasy author I've read.

    I think the problem is what Tyrion goes from three books of all the action centred around where his character is to traveling basically for the whole Dance of Dragons. Other characters (i.e. Arya, Brianna, Davos etc...) do heaps of traveling that is probably less interesting than Tyrion's...

    Agree to disagree. Think Tyrion is the best character by quite a margin. Hence, why I have been looking forward to this book.
