    Some of the points won by Alcaraz midway in the 2nd were absolutely insane. Also his serving was on-point. Neither of those factors mattered one iota though.     As Alcaraz is missing Basel Djokovic will start with a 500 point lead to Paris and Turin. If Alcaraz doesn't play Paris then he'll likely fall further behind Djokovic. If Djokovic wins Paris it's going to be very difficult for Alcaraz (or Medvedev for that matter) to chase him down.
