Home & Garden Spiders can get ****ed

That's why I was so surprised when I thought I'd seen one here.

Tony Lewis from The Outfield had a pretty great voice too:

    Best singing voices ever?

Joseph Williams (son of composer John) recorded two albums with the 80s rock band Toto. To this day I haven't heard a male sing a better falsetto.

Home & Garden Spiders can get ****ed

It wasn't aggressive when I got down close with my phone camera. That would suggest mouse spider as well.

You could be right (I hope). Mouse Spider: Only thing pointing towards funnel web was that it would've been at least 3cm which puts it at the upper limit for size for a mouse spider. But your summation looks fairly accurate.

So apparently the Australian funnel web can be found in parts of Victoria as well as NSW FYI I took this photo of this specimen in Bendigo this weekend.

That's why we settled on a Finnish Lapphund. They are generally a more balanced version of a Border Collie: http://www.vetstreet.com/dogs/finnish-lapphund#personality "The Finnish Lapphund's nature is in itself is as individual as the breed. They are courageous, keen, calm and willing to...

Oh, and there is such a thing as a miniature Aussie, though I don't know if they are available in Australia.

    Pets Dream Dog Breed

Another dog we seriously considered is the Australian Shepherd. Having encountered a few of them at different shows they have wide-ranging colour patterns: They seem to have excellent natures and, in many aspects, are quite similar to Border Collies (except with less barking).

What do you find so endearing about this breed? They are relatively new in Aus, no?

Pug is a widely different choice than all the others you've mentioned. Pity, as I understand it, they have so many health concerns. Is the German Short-Haired Pointer a bit of a rare dog in Australia? Or are there large numbers of them?

There are some absolute gorgeous ones available even ATM: http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/238427 http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/238432 We seriously considered a Husky, as my wife wants a dog that she can run with.

It's disappointing that so many Huskies end up in rescue shelters. It appears that many owners haven't thought through the full implications of owning such a magnificent breed.

Samoyed's are excellent dogs. I do hear that they have a tendency to be quite the destructive breed though.

I don't know if it is quite the same but there is a breed called Shiba Inu that have a similarish (in a loose way) physical appearance:

They do fine. There's been no indication that, with a little bit of thought from the owner, they have suffered over the summer. From what I understand they suffer no worse than the likes of Samoyed or Pomeranians.

So in a couple of months we are going to add a Finnish Lapphund to our family. Here is an image I took at an event a couple of weeks ago: This is really my dream dog breed. They tick basically every single box about what I'd want in a dog breed. Perhaps the only other breed I would consider...
