Tertiary and Continuing RMIT - Photography Degree

Lol, gave up after one semester. It was primarily aimed at high fashion (which I had/have no interest in). I now run my own photography/videography business for weddings/documentary work and do wildlife and landscape photography on the side for fun. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you are...

Employment Skilled jobs that don't pay well

I'm a fourth year lawyer and my wife will be paid more than me next year as a graduate teacher.

Tertiary and Continuing The Law Thread

It does make a difference, but you could go to Leo's for that. I think it's more important to have decent experience to stand out. Of course, that's not a comforting thought when nobody is currently willing to offer you said experience.

Tertiary and Continuing Good solid ATAR score

Just get in to the Tertiary system then you basically have freedom to get into a lot of areas. Be prepared to work to get where you want though.

Tertiary and Continuing RMIT - Photography Degree

In less than a month I will be starting a 3 year photography degree at RMIT. Being that it is possibly the most popular photography course in Australia I was wondering if anyone else had done it? Or the RMIT Tafe course (which I hear is excellent)?

Lot of avenues for the law graduate to pursue. Not just practice.

You've got that right. I've got a law degree and I'll never practice.

Tertiary and Continuing The Law Thread

The only way I passed that subject was that we got a hold of a 100+ page overview of the course and memorised that for the two weeks before the exam. I remember coming out of those lectures and feeling more confused than I had going in. Though my study habits left much to be desired and I don't...

Tertiary and Continuing The Law Thread

We had a lecturer called Roger Douglas for our lecture. Basically written a book in every field of law. Was a lawyer for some small amount of time and lost every case he attempted (or so he quips). The guy talks like he is a manifestation of his own textbooks and you'd be better off just reading...

Tertiary and Continuing Going to a Lecture without paying a fee?

You'd make up for those enrolled who don't come.

Admin was far and away the hardest subject we did. Oh and civil procedure... hard to stay awake.

Tertiary and Continuing Recommend a Uni Thread

Well, the silly person in me has re-enrolled for my second degree (after finishing a Law degree). I'm hoping to study Photography and the highest rated place to do that is RMIT in the city. I did Law at LaTrobe Uni. This is a good option if you don't have the massive 99 ENTER Score to get in to...
