    Everything has to be explained to you doesn’t it? It was an example, an extreme one to highlight the fact that the free kick count being even or won by a team doesn’t mean the umpiring was good. Pity someone can’t understand this for you as well…

    Doesn’t matter - if we win 30 genuine free kicks and you win 10 howler free kicks the umpiring sucks. The fact that you can’t figure this out for yourself without it being spoonfed to you suggests a familial background rich in biological diversity

    Yeah for about twelve or so years we had a policy to corral rather than tackle as tackles have a high rate of frees against. It resulted in giving away a lot less free kicks.
