Yeah now imagine having those short breaks on the back of 10hr round-trip flights every second week.

Haha pls, winning a premiership away from home against a team who was also away from home, and also on the road. Yes well done. Our Victorian saviours have proven once and for all that the MCG advantage is not a "big deal" 🙄

West Coast - When will the AFL step in?

Eh? Keep up buddy: In 2022 NM traded pick 1 to GWS, who took Cadman WCE had pick 2 but split the pick for what ended up as picks 9 and 14, WCE took Ginbey and Hewett NM bid on Ashcroft at pick 2, which was matched. They then selected Sheezle and Wardlaw. Sheezle was a known 'vic metro mumma's...

West Coast - When will the AFL step in?

Slow as treacle will never make it as a mid - and we have forward line talent. He wasn't the right fit for WCE and evidently wasn't best 18. Wish him the best, but massive long-shot to make it at AFL level. Might work out for the dees if you keep him as that med-tall fwrd. Just limited otherwise.

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

Complaining about vile posts while kicking a team when they're down  Imagine how productive your life might be if you re-directed that energy to not be solely dedicated to whinging about one specific football club that isn't your own.

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

YES great points, thanks for flagging the injury crisis & unforeseeable bad luck that prematurely ended a significant portion of the list's careers. You're right, there wasn't much we could do to avoid the cliff we fell off. 1 January 2021, WCE had the following group: Elliot Yeo – 27 (2x AA...

West Coast - When will the AFL step in?

Never say never 😈 Seriously though, great critique of fan copium on an online message board. Stunning, wonderful stuff. You were right, WCE were on a sinking ship - so what assistance package is required?

West Coast - When will the AFL step in?

Barrass, Allen & Darling pushed out Rioli smoked pot and wanted to be closer to family. Reid about to sign a mega-deal WCE have never really had issues retaining the players they want to keep & have had a player first mentality for a long time. In the end it was probably to our detriment -...

West Coast - When will the AFL step in?

All good points - i think there needs to be a massive soft-cap increase overall. We're barely back to being where we were pre-covid. Really hard to attract top coaching talent to a poor performing club on the other side of the country if you can't make it financially appealing.

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

Bloody gutted about McGovern What's that, 4 forced medical retirements in 4 years? Sheppard, Venables, Edwards and now Gov. 3 premiership players, 2 All Australians, 2 first round picks. Really bloody tough for the club, given where we're at and the need we've had for talent.

Nice, applying the same penalty would have cut Gaff's game-ban from 8 to 4 so he could have played in the 18' grand final! What a world that would be 🌈

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

Another page closer to the inevitable PP'S being handed out. Seriously though, I'd prefer the assistance to be an increased soft cap & some additional rookie/Cat B spots.

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

No see here's the thing - I'm predicting that teams will bottom out harder and longer than ever because of systematic issues created by the AFL. That's all I'm saying, and I don't think my points were particularly controversial. Re. Melb - they have not yet bottomed out so no idea what point...

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

Reductive and unhelpful comment that fails to invalidate any of the concerns raised - I've also never said ineptitude didn't play a part in WCEs fall - it does for every club that reorves a PP. WCE were too loyal to underperforming players, gave extended contrats to players with significant...

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

I hope the AFL are watching closely - i suspect what's happened to WCE will be fairly common for other teams that bottom out moving forward. Richmond and Melbourne are on the cusp of it now... IMO this is significantly the AFL's doing: Arbitrary and reactive meddling with rule changes (e.g...

Roast The AFL aren't taking concussion and head trauma seriously enough. Lalor/Ginbey incident.

Football act that happens hundreds of times a game. It's not even a free kick. Horrible that Lalor got hurt, but any ban would be outcome over action garbage.

West Coast Eagles Priority Pick (2024)

But they are sooking about the prospect of priority picks being handed out because the media are speculating about it. Tbh most WC fans are saying they'd prefer there to be no priority picks. If the AFL hands them out to WC, it's because they've turned the draft into an absolute circus. It's...

Oh lol yes, the AFL will merge/remove a financially lucrative club with 100k+ members 🙄. Stellar point, we better watch out. Fold the club, straight to the bin, byyeeee.
