    I think he means Adelaide would have matched the bid ($8ook and 5 years), but chose not to do so because Danger had made his mind up on leaving.

    My understanding of free agency is not comprehensive, so correct me if I'm wrong: This is correct. But then Danger said "no I only want to go to Geelong", whereas TK has said he only wants to go to West Coast. So as you can clearly see, you can't compare the two because Geelong and West Coast...

    In all of the circumstances, I think 2019 1st and 2020 1st is fair, maybe with a sweetener on top like a late pick from WC or swap 2019 second rounders. Of course the clubs will start some way either side of this but I expect it to be about right for the middle ground.

    Happy for Scotty - always rated him as a player when 100%. Hopefully his body holds up and Port get the value out of his contract. He can be quite injury prone - not only in terms of games missed but also in that if he is carrying a niggle, it really seems to affect his performance.

    If I'm Geelong, then unless there is a player in this year's draft rated in the low teens that I have a target on, I'd just keep Kelly, get another great season out of him and hope for a better trade next year.
