AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

WatchAFL Global Pass has 25% off a 12-month subscription at the moment with coupon code TAK25OFF. WatchAFL pretty much gives streaming access to Fox Footy for anyone outside Australia, or anyone who have a valid geo-dodging service (ie. Getflix). You can watch in full screen on a tablet and cast...

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

Not that it matters because refunds were issued without question, but I think you mis-read the fine-print. So you could cancel at any time, but if you don't cancel at least 48 hours before the end of the free trial period then you'll be charged.

Agreed - I got a response and got refunded. Interestingly I still have access...

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

I cancelled a few weeks back - certainly within the defined cancellation period. My account shows no active subscriptions, but i still got charged. Definitely a screw up from foxtel.

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

A warning for anyone who subscribed to WatchAFL Global pass using the free trial and cancelled their subscription: I did this and today I was still charged for it! Next drama, sort it out with Foxtel. w***ers.

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

You can get the WatchAFL Subscription for as low as $150 via a club membership. See my post here: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/afl-live-pass-what-a-joke.1090063/page-40#post-48673322

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

I couldn't tell you - I was referring to the watchAFL. I'm not aware of the AFL Live pass working on a laptop.

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

WatchAFL doesn't site doesn't work with the Opera browser that is loaded on most smart TV's. You can get to the site, but video won't steam. Best solution I came up with - play it though a laptop and plug your laptop into the TV via HDMI. I teamed it up with an air mouse and wireless...

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

You should be able to cast it. Works with my iPad & Apple TV. I find Telstra streaming overseas to be terrible - unwatchable. Anything hosted by Telstra sucks for me.

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

You need to create a new account. Accounts weren't transferred from Rightster to Fox Sports.

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

So for anyone looking to subscribe to the WatchAFL pass, it looks to be way cheaper to get it via a club membership. Fox are charging €149 or £149 or $149USD or $189AUD. The Fox Sports pass is annual, 365 days. I guess the club pass voucher ends on 1st November (it was on the Port membership...

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

Honestly I gave up on my Apple TV a couple of years back (I dug it out of a box to test this) - I think it's more trouble than it's worth. I generally do everything through a laptop plugged into the TV via HDMI. I got a great scroll wheel air mouse thing and a wireless keyboard. Works every time...

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

Yes I had airplay from my iPad to Apple TV 3. It worked okay, but should have been better - though I suspect it was my fault as I was using it in part of my house with not so good wifi.

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

On the lions membership forum, someone replied that they contact the club and the International Membership will be available late Feb, early March. You need to sign up again to watchafl (i guess because it's transferred to Fox), but if you enter the voucher code PRESEASON17 the price drops to...

AFL LIVE PASS - WHAT A JOKE!

I'm using watchafl from Germany. Quality for me is awesome, looks like a big step-up compared to the garbage from Rightster in previous years. For people in Australia, if you can find a smartDNS service (or VPN) it looks like you can pretty much get fox footy, without subscribing to Fox. Cost...

    Watch AFL from overseas

I just noticed Freo Fanatics Youtube channel has been taken down. After only just finding it I'm dissapointed it's gone! Does anyone have an alternative?

    Watch AFL from overseas

I currently watch with a laptop connected to my tv via HDMI cable (same as last year). I'm not sure what they've done this year... the image quality is great, but the video doesn't seem to flow correctly... like it's speeds up/slows down constantly. results in an almost imperceptible stutter...

    Watch AFL from overseas

For supporters of clubs who don't offer the watchafl global pass, I just noticed that the AFL shop has the Global Pass for $189 including beanie and size 5 synthetic football. Not a terrible deal if you consider the footy is usually priced between $15 and $30, and beanie probably $10 - $15...

    Watch AFL from overseas

Watching watchafl now for the NAB challenge matches - if I have to listen to Bruce Mcavaney salivate (and worse) over Hawthorn in every quarter break for the next 8 months I may resort to self-harm...

    Watch AFL from overseas

I can speak for myself only... but it not being a tightarse, it's just looking for a good reliable service. watchafl has improved from what it was, but it's a long way from perfect.

    Watch AFL from overseas

Are you kidding? I live in Germany (and can speak for the UK)... really the only way to get regular sport is to subscribe to Sky. Sky Germany owns the Bundesliga, Sky UK and BT Sport share the EPL. You can get see Champions League & Europa League and the occasional on FTA, but otherwise...

    Watch AFL from overseas

You can occasionally find dodgy pirate streams online for AFL, but the quality is (or used to be) pretty average and they're full of those annoying popups. Not worth the trouble. Last year I had a free AFL Live Pass (which was Telstra, I think now Optus). This can be accessed from overseas if...

    Grant Thomas Sacked.

I listen to SEN every weekend, and have to say that I am not sad to see him go. His commentary style drove me crazy, the same as listening to Malcolm Blight. Both were incredibly negative in their commentary style and it's not why I listen to the football. The constant crying over bad umpiring...
