Just an FYI you have to be in an academy for the preceding 5 years to be picked up under academy rules. Eg Lachie Weller was in the gc academy for 4 but couldn't be taken under academy rules and was in the open draft -

To be fair to him the majority of our injuries were impact related this year. The one thing I thought Burton did well was massively decrease the spate of soft tissue injuries we were plagued with before his appointment. No whether that was at the sacrifice of strength I'm not sure. -
