Above is all correct except for this year where all band one and two picks if used fall at the end of the first round. So no-one will be using them this year, that's for sure. -

Pretty confident that the pick retains the characteristics of the team that receives the compensation pick rather than the team that actually uses it. eg if you traded your compo pick to GWS and it was a band 2 then GWS would get a pick immediately after Freo's first round pick in the year... -

Agree we're unlikely to pull the PSD re-pick card, think the Melb teams taking a risk would be more likely. Definitely up forward. He stated it in a fair few interviews at the end of last season/start of this season. Personally I still think he's a perfect CHB in the making. -
