10 years ? Let's not catastrophize too much. Demons have pants us regularly at the G over the years. And the Cats in 22 ..

Review Qualifying Final, 2025 - Geelong vs. Brisbane Lions

Indeed - when you have Stewart sitting back alone and snagging the odd goal , it was a miracle we didn't go down by a lot more. Cats look primed. Their matchups were excellent and Dangerfield is just a luxury pick now. Cameron set the tone early by destroying Lester and throwing our backline...

Remember the 1983 Qualifying Final - Bernie's greatest quarter - when we got dudded. Karma.

Is Curnow gettable ? Or maybe McKay .. that team is really a rabble and we have a $1m+ hole to fill.

Review Round 15, 2025 - Geelong vs. Brisbane Lions

Last year's Prelim was probably the best game I've seen live. And I've been going since 1961. Skill / intensity / result .

Crikey .. what a roller-coaster. Had 1981 semi v Pies vibes but no .. we held on really well. Cal and Ash outstanding. And onto the MCG .. gulp. Not a happy place recently. And Cats .. who slaughtered us in 22. Nothing to lose so .. just kick straight please.

Review Semi Final, 2022 - Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions

They needed to be brave .. and it paid off eventually. Chaos balls inside 50 really threw the Demons defence. And we "recorded a season-high pressure rating of 201'. Charlie's epic left-foot goal from row Z after a lung-busting one-out run was just genius. And a shout-out to Dev - thought his...

Preview Melbourne Demons v Brisbane Lions Semi Final (Friday 9 September 7:50PM @MCG)

On a hiding to nothing in this contest. Hard to imagine a form turnaround against Demons after witnessing the schmozzle at the G in H&A. We appeared to have no idea how to play the ground and we had no winners at all. Went into our shells. End of story. Live in hope.

    Semi Final v Dees

Talk about coaching challenges - they've owned us this year. But Swans showed us the blueprint - relentless pressure and daring ball movement. Do we have the cattle / weapons ? Melbourne-based Lions are busy girding their loins Did you know .. The idiom gird one's loins is derived from the...

Preview Elimination Final vs Richmond Tigers @ the Gabba, Thu Sep 1 7:20 PM

Coach's biggest challenge yet - we've been basically written off in Melbourne and Tigers are planning their game v Sydney with typical swagger. If we start the same way we did against Demons , the coaching staff will need to answer serious questions. Look at what the Pies have done this year ..

Review Round 23, 2022 - Brisbane Lions vs. Melbourne

Demons camped inside our heads. Those last 20 minutes in the 2nd quarter were as bad as I have witnessed in senior football. No chance from the MCG game except Demons kicked more accurately. A rabble. Trashing the brand.

Preview Round 23 - Lions v Demons 7:50pm at the 'Gabba

Hard to un-see that game at the G this year. We lost our nerve, kicked down the line and got smashed everywhere. Everyone has to play out of their skins to turn that rout around.

Unofficial Preview Changes & discussion Round 19 v Suns.
