    Always annoys me the short shrift the field events get compared to track. They'll show replays upon replays of track heats, but only selected highlights of the field event finals.

    And that's a warm winter morning here. Between 10° & 12°C more normal. Can easily see the 100m sprints being run in 12° temperatures. Or maybe they'll shift them for overseas audiences... Late August/Early September seemed a more logical time to hold them climatically-speaking.

    I'm assuming you know the distances involved? :D I lived in Brisbane most of my life and have never driven further north than Mackay (10 hours). From Mackay to Cairns is another 8.5. And that stretch between Mackay and Rocky is a real mother****er. About 200km of **** all, and I do mean **** all.

    I've just been down on the Gold Coast watching the Qld Volleyball Schools Cup. Massive event with over 150 schools competing. And some really high quality play. Sport just needs some airtime and it could be huge in this country. Not sure why they only assume people want to watch beach vollyeball.

    Actually, it doesn't surprise me. A bit of hyperbole there, but no more than your claim that nobody understands it. It's a 2 person relay, one rider is active at any one time. Not that hard to keep track of.

    Expect a big push for Flying Disc sports for 2032. Mixed teams for Ultimate Disc and games are self-refereed both of which tick a lot of boxes for inclusivity.
