Yeah, I know finals and all that, but World Athletics Championships started today and are on SBS and Nine. Arguably the best team we've ever sent to the world champs. Being in Tokyo, all events are at watchable times for us for once.

I thought he could only serve another 4 if elected. Mind you, I'm pretty confident he'd look to find a way to change it.

Without reading the article, if that's not Jarrod Blejie I'd be very surprised. Got his fingerprints all over it.

Last game of the season. Neither team could change their table position, so no effect on playoffs or draft positions. As dead as a dead rubber could be. The only people who might conceivably have been upset were gamblers betting in the points market. But he got it close enough to say he was...

This. So the Rockets were the away team and Chick-Fil-A had a promotion that if any opposition player missed both of their free-throws, the Clippers crowd would get some free chicken, so Boban decided to help the crowd out by accidentally-on-purpose missing his second free-throw after he missed...

"He gave 'em Chicken" might never be uttered again in the history of sports commentary... Pretty funny stuff in a meaningless game at the very end of the NBA season. The most delicious spot-fixing ever undertaken.

If it's a bronze statue, it will end up looking like anything than who it's meant to be anyway.

Craig Johnstone, right? That, I can at least understand. Same with Leeds supporters.

Funny how nearly every soccer fan you meet, if they follow the EPL somehow supports Man U, Arsenal or Chelsea. Might as well barrack for Collingwood... :p

I remember watching that as a youngster. I have a preference for the field events. Unfortunately, TV tends to focus on the track events. Lucky I like the track events too.

As an athletics fan, I do look forward to the Comm Games. It's hard to see decent-level competition in Australia.

I do find it amazing that amongst all this kerfuffle, that the English don't seem to recall that some of their own players have admitted to ball-tampering using mints and sunscreen. Even more amazing is that I hadn't seen it raised in the media frenzy.

Could’ve played anyone in those first two tests and we would have lost., given the manner in which we tried to bat. Very simplistic to say it was down to one player being left out.

If you have Kayo, I can reccomend checking out the Australian GP in MotoGP. Jack Miller unfortunately got taken out, but there were more overtakes that I've seen in a race and at the end it was still only about 4 seconds separating 1 & 10.

It's quietly building. I think most cricket fans know. Ticket sales have been good - they went on sale at the beginning of the year from memory. I think they're keeping their powder dry and not hyping it too early. Now both major codes or football have finished you'll start hearing about it...

I was just telling a mate the other day who's in his 30s and has only ever known the Broncos, how nearly everyone in school would have their own team. In the early 80s it was often whoever Wally Lewis was playing for though! There was even merch - for a local comp in the 80s!

I'm a Dolphins supporter from back in the early 80s when they had names like Conescu, Neibling and Fullerton-Smith. I've not followed league seriously since the Super League days. I thought this team might be enough to get me interested, but they aren't filling me with a great deal of hope. I...

I'm relatively neutral about politics (in that I have have no ties to any party) and can't abide people who support parties like they're a football team. My main bugbear is corruption and graft in politics. So, when the coalition dropped it (not that I seriously considered they were serious...

Beards + mask = sweaty, sweaty, sweaty. But yeah, I seriously don't get the reluctance. Yes they're uncomfortable but if you're not wearing one it's an act of defiance, selfishness or stupidity (or combinations thereof).
