Recruiting Trade/Draft Talk III - Zaharakis for a SIG BET?

Good pace, natural smarts as a forward and exceptional hands.

Recruiting Trade/Draft Talk III - Zaharakis for a SIG BET?

Hoping one of Gallucci/ Florent slip to 20 Then Scharenberg/ Clarke at 29 I like the look of Will Hayward too as a dangerous medium forward option.

Traded Michael Hibberd [traded to Melbourne with pick 59 for picks 29 and 68]

Both clubs believe this years second rounder is around fair value. Only one club is content with 2017 second rounder. Seems pretty simple to me. If Demons don't want to enter the draft in the 50s then they should've thought of that before trading away their first rounder last year and...

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

Im not sold on Edwards His repeat efforts are almost non existent and his defensive side is pretty poor in general. After 5 years in the system you'd expect him to have a better tank than he does also Has a lot of work to do

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

Prestia would be an amazing get. Watson, hocking, Myers, Goddard etc are all getting on in age and/or have had injury issues and bringing in a guy like Prestia with 4-5 years of development already in him would be excellent for our list strategy going forward. Yes his kicking isn't as damaging...

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

The only concern I would have with taking Francis so high is that anyone can look like a star playing as loose man and taking intercept marks. Adam McPhee and Kepler Bradley seemed pretty damn good at one stage when they were doing the same thing. The same can be said for Oxley in a few...

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

If Parish is taken at 3 I would consider Milera at 4. Then Francis or Curnow at 5.

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

Warming to the idea of picking Curnow. Picking up another key forward (eg weideman) only makes sense if we plan to only have one ruck going forward (with Joey pinch hitting). Otherwise we are simply too tall. But adding a third tall type like curnow who is a strong mark and can push up the...

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

Either package up Carlisle and the second rounder we get for melksham for pick 5 Or get pick 9 off the saints in a straight swap (if they get 9 and 13 from Adelaide)

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

He said he's under the pump because he's unsure how he fits in which is true Luey first ruck rotating with bellchambers would be our starting combo A forward line of daniher, bellchambers and McKernan for mine is too tall. It appears the club view McKernan as a backup option

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

Best result would be us getting a first rounder for Carlisle then picking up Parish and Weideman

Retired #11: David Zaharakis - Survivin'

Think people are a little harsh. Had his best season last year and has been struck down by injury this year. Plus when he has come in after missing a large chunk of the year he hasn't had Watson, Hocking and Myers in the team which limits his ability to get out and spread and become dangerous...

Recruiting EFC Trade/Draft Talk II with F/A rules in OP - Billings for a fourth rounder the latest rumour

Id love Motlop. We have Winderlich, Cooney and Chapman all at the end of their careers. We desperately need experienced dangerous forwards who can kick goals but also have a run through the midfield and Motlop is perfect for that. Don't know how much cats would ask for him but id give up a...

    Delisted #20: Jackson Merrett - not offered a contract for 2019 - 22/8

Have always liked him but consistency is something he has struggled with previously. Really hope he can have a strong finish to 2015 to set him up for a break-out year next year

Traded #3: Scott Gumbleton - Traded to Fremantle for pick 55

If the kid wants to go home to Freo then let him go. He stuck by the club for years when he couldve taken the easy way out and gone home after his first 2-3 years like a lot of kids do now. Hes been extremely loyal and resilient, so i have no issue with the freo trade.

Traded Essendon trade Crameri to Bulldogs for pick 26

Very good deal for the Dogs, not so much for us but you move on. He's an extremely talented player. Only thing standing in the way of him becoming one of the better forwards in the league is his ability to stay out on the park consistently.

Except he wants to be traded

VFL Past #54: Nick O'Brien - returning to play for Essendon VFL in 2017!

Not sure about this kid, haven't really seen anything from him that has caught my attention. He seems kind of slow and isn't the best user of the footy. What he does have though is a great attitude and would give himself the best chance at making it so good luck to him
  24. W

VFL Past #48: Kyle Hardingham - Made the VFL team of the year!

Cant stand him up forward. His kicking for goal is even worse than his general field kicking. I liked him most across half back with his ability to intercept and spoil the ball and he's a good back up option in that role.

People have to be really careful with their expectations imo. I think we're a top 6 team but our record against the top 4 this year wasnt flash and we havent finished off a season well for years. Theres so much talk amongst Essendon supporters about top 4 and potentially a premiership, but we...

Traded #3: Scott Gumbleton - Traded to Fremantle for pick 55

The fact is he's still too weak in one-on-one contests and becomes useless when the ball hits the deck. The amount of times he gets worked under the ball is not good enough for a man of his size (and age). His agility isnt good enough and his back problems have probably impacted that. Ive been...

    Keep Montagna & Dal Santo

Hey guys just wondering from a St Kilda fan's perspective.....who would be of better value to a top 8 team...Dal Santo or Montagna? NDS is slightly younger and been the best over his career but Montagna had a better 2013 so its an interesting one. Im aware that this Fox Sports rumour may be...

Would only consider Chappy if it was on a one year deal and on average sort of money. I admire him as a player but he is soon to be 32 for gods sake and has chronic hammy issues. He couldnt even manage to play 10 games this year and is a big, big risk
