If it's anything like the 2018 GF you should be right most weeks. I got tickets to that match as a general admission member. Doesn't seem they'll have a middle category like they do with the grand final ballots either, which might lead to more people trying to get tickets at the same time.
A $1 million a year for the first 4 years government outlay for their own side vs 580k sponsorship to have us play 2 matches in Tasmania each year. Pretty easy to justify the additional money to get their own side.
Collingwood v Melbourne, Victoria Park 3.10pm
I just hope that with this fixture on the move the AFL doesn’t artificially create a top and bottom division. For example the games for the 4 bottom teams are all against a fellow bottom 4 team in R5. If that pattern continues it could have...
Jeroen Weimar just stated in the daily press conference that the circuit breaker allowed them to follow up less potential exposure sites. It was the only reason he gave to justify the lockdown decision/advice. :drunk:
He later said there was a casual contact identified on the Saturday...
Have they worked out if those vaccinated will still be carriers of the virus? Last I read, which was a while ago, was they were unsure if vaccinated persons would still be able to pass on the virus or if it would only stop them getting sick.
Edit: Thanks neilk, answered above.
As close contacts they should have already been in isolation, so by extension this lockdown hasn’t prevented a single case. I agree though that being rightly cautious starts with a risk assessment on international arrivals. Can’t keeping hitting Vics with a stick when there’s a flutter of cases...
Andrews said yesterday it wasn't about numbers rather containment. That it still hasn't spread outside friends, family and co-workers says that this wasn't lockdown was a knee-jerk over reaction and it's continuation (even today and tomorrow) is unfounded.
Chief health officer or whoever...
Interestingly the back of the membership card says "this card does not admit access to matches". Obviously covid related where passes for match access will need to be booked via ticketmaster or ticketek even for members like me who hold a reserved seat. Seemingly they expect this to be the case...
It potentially lends itself to spectators being allowed in at Marvel. I imagine the government will do what they can to ensure the AO final gets some fans attending and if that occurs they'd be hard pressed to allow one and not the other.
Pity we couldn’t put them away in the last, but the result was never in doubt. Really missed Norder and will be an even bigger loss if she doesn’t get up for next week.
Umps were a little too whistle happy at times for either team. I prefer them to let play go.
