They moved it from Melbourne to get a crowd so Melbourne City don't even get to play in their home state let alone their home ground despite finishing 1st on the table and then it only gets 3k anyway.

Its not exactly a high quality match up though is it? Its 11 Vs 17. The only reason its a "game we want to watch" is because it involves a popular big 4 club. Tasmania was offered the 1st on the ladder Demons the other week and yet no one was interested.

It will be intresting to see the posted crowd for the scg match as the nrl match today only bought 17k. Probably highlights an issue for the nrl as so much effort is put into drawing attention to the SOO games that it leaves no real marquee fixtures to market for the regular nrl season.

They did a smart move by placing most of the crowd on the non camera side. Saw a twitter photo where it looked liked the members stand was mostly full (which is on the camera side).

The 3.20 start time shouldn't have been too big of a factor on this occassion due to the Public holiday in Tasmania the following day.

If vax-passports are necessary to enter a club or pub would it be beyond the realms of possibility for this requirement to extend to entering a footy stadium as well?

Beware the headline. Reading the article, the 10 years was for the violent assault and not the coughing.

But it is on the background of Tasmanians having long held interest in the vfl from generations back and Tasmanians having attached themselves to supporting vfl teams. You can't just say 'interstate' teams and think it is an apples for apples comparison to the Sydney sporting market.
