This one will be tough. If there's one game it'd be reasonable to lose, it's this one. The rest of our fixture is pretty cushy besides Melbourne in the final round. If we win this one, I'd say top 4 is a lock. This will be a huge test.
Absolutely. The umpire should have waited 30, and if the ball hadn't left Rohan's boot by then, call play on, then disallow the shot because the game is finished. That would be a much better spectacle and a better advertisement for the sport.
I know we all bemoan the last decade of finals, but in moments like this, you have to sit back and appreciate how often we get over the line in these situations. How many times have we won games at the finish line like this? And how many times has Joel been a part of those desperate forward...
Absolutely agree. Dangerfield is a good player, but not reliable. Doesn't do the team stuff enough of the time. Players like Selwood/Stewart/Hawkins are the ones you want. The ones that are always thinking team-first.
Can anyone shed some light on the footage others are sharing of Selwood seemingly eye-gouging and punching a bloke in the head while he's on the ground? Was that in this game? Or from another game earlier on?
Seems brutally unfair for Narkle, given the way he's been going about his business. This seems like a goblet being thrown down for him and his career at Geelong. I think it'd be fair for him to walk out on the club now. Hope he doesn't.
It's pretty grating though when people point to every metric of success except the one that matters? Nobody is questioning Scott's ability to win home and away games, or to generate AA players. They're questioning his ability to win flags.
