List Mgmt. Pick #5 - Welcome Adam Cerra [Request trade to Vic]

Interesting to hear Fyfey express frustration over Cez going after he and Mundy had 'stepped aside' to promote Cerra's development. He then acknowledges Cerra's right to go, but has given us a bit of real feedback meanwhile. It's a feat not many players can manage.

Sad for us and for his 2 amigos to lose Cerra. But good as he is, he's also slow, not much of a tackler and to date, mostly turns to stone in front of goal. You'd think Freo could and will source other good young talent who brings some elements Cerra lacks.

Fyfey is quality TV. Keeps his cool while heavily outnumbered.

Hope some of you have watching Ch 7's "10 to 1: WA's Biggest Footy Moments". Fyfey, Sonny and Dave on with Barich, Worsfold & Co tonight from 8.50pm Perth time. When my lip wasn't curling with all the Weags stuff and Barich comments like "The Freo people won't like this, but Freo was brought...

    Competitions Fremantle Forum Tipping 2021

This is a non sequitur Snuff, but seeing "(we) were robbed" recalled hilariously ungracious congrats I witnessed once at Marble Bar Races. Two tug-of-war teams with legs like power poles and beer guts the size of boulders strained and heaved in scorching heat. Many a jug was downed to help the...

List Mgmt. 2021 List Management: Draft, Trade, Free Agency and Academy

In a recent post I said he played like someone on day release from a Home for the Bewildered. Then he had better games and I felt mean. If he DID come to us I think I'd warm to him more than Lobb. The Lobbster is talented but frustratingly inconsistent and seems a bit self-satisfied with his...

Has anyone actually ever seen Valente?

I've emailed Ryan Daniels a couple of times to say well done for some particularly good pieces. Smart as you say and brings a combo of eloquence, thinking and footy passion. He's about the one person I can tolerate being a Weagle. BTW I didn't expect or need a reply yet both times he emailed...

Game Day 2021 AFL Grand Final - Dogs vs Demons @Optus Stadium 25/09/21

Pre-semis I picked Melbourne and the Bulldogs to win. The GF though.... Demons have been premiership-less longer than the Dogs, so I tell myself it'd be good for them (and Ed, and Angus) to get the win. Tyey'ev played so well thus far and their Cat-drowning was absolute class. But, there's...

Lachie Neale wants to come home to fremantle [or does he?!?]

I know this is Neale thread, but I won't ever put Shane Yarran in a 'warped and weird' box. He was a highly talented footballer who showed on-field improvement before various things went south. His end was pure tragedy. I'll always remember his quick grace in passing Pav the footy for that...

He did a ripping interview with Fyfey down at Lake Grace a couple of years back, from memory. A most likeable and empathetic character and a thinker. Great captain too.

He seems a nice chap who's been given day release from the Home for the Bewildered. What I am doing on this field? Who am I? Kinder to leave him where he is. Please.

I agree Tim English had a better second half, but he needed to. He often seemed a bit stunned when ball was near. Made me appreciate the scrambling efforts of our way more lowly ranked Meek. As for the umps, others will have watched game more closely than I did. But I did think Caleb Daniel -...

List Mgmt. Pick #5 - Welcome Adam Cerra [Request trade to Vic]

Initially I felt a bit frustrated watching Cox play forward. Clearly talented but rarely showing 'intensity' (unlike Tabs). But as with Mundy, I came to appreciate him for a quiet achiever. Loved his marking and improved kicking on goal. I was sorry he wasn't kept on as a forward even though I...

More re Hogan: I actually supported him up till the last stages of his time with us. I saw him as a young bloke going through very tough times dad's death, own testicular cancer, anxiety, recurrent foot issues. It's fair to say that WA media kept a Hogan-watch. But at the end when it seemed -...

I claimed soul, now confess to spite. I more or less hope solid citizen Matty de Boer gets a win but gee I begrudge our Giant disappointment Hogan every decent kick. Guess the Jesse fiasco was all unfortunate timing - maybe - but I have to grow up quite a bit more before I can enjoy his...
