    Perth Stadium (Optus Stadium)

Beautiful stadium. I still don't understand how it only holds 60k. It looks just as big as the MCG, from the inside and out. The fact that Marvel nearly holds more is so puzzling to me.

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

If its 50k then its only about 8-10k more than what the Gabba already is. if you are going to re-build the whole thing, you'd think they should increase the capacity by at least 15-20. Subiaco only held about 45k but Optus holding 60k is a huge boost.

Docklands Stadium (Marvel Stadium) - Discussion

Anyone else think that watching footy at Marvel is infinitely better with the roof open than closed. Especially in afternoon games it is always dark, whereas this weekend when it was open it looked better.

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

And cricket in Brisbane, doubt they'd play test matches at AB Field.

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

I'm assuming Brisbane will play home games at Springfield, while the Gabba is re-done

The main question is what will happen to the Lions coloured seats?

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

If they built a new stadium for the games they'd be no point bringing down the Gabba, the more venues the better. After the games I assume they'd bring down the Gabba.

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

every game involving Australia or India would get more than 10k

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

I can imagine the GB team would just be the England side, can't imagine any Scottish players would get a game

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

has the Great Britain issue been resolved? And would BCCI hand over control? Because I could never ever see BCCI ever doing that It'd also mean West Indies players would have to split up into their nations (if they qualified)

    New Brisbane Stadium (2032 Olympics)

my guess would be they keep the Gabba until then and use it for the cricket and once the games are finished, the new stadium gets refurbished if needed, and is then used for cricket from then on. If they end up using the Gabba as the main stadium then the cricket will have to probably be played...

What is your most hated ground that has been used for AFL?

Marvel Stadium I just find it a soulless concrete jungle. Only thing going for it is the roof which is good for cricket but when it is used for footy on a sunny day it just annoys me and I’m not sure why.
