I think Johnson just needs a little more time. His development will be similar to Rotham's who took a number of years before seeing regular games. He's got a penetrating kick on him but could do with a little more weight.
Humphries, Soka and Berry our academy boys were named BOG for their respective clubs over the weekend.
Snippet from the West.

The cream rose to the top for East Perth with key forward Jye Amiss and fellow draft fancy Kade Dittmar starring in a...
Scaife has a cannon of a boot on him clearing 60m with ease. In the right system, he could become a real weapon.
WP unfortunately have had a few injuries to key players so boys like Scaife will get some good opportunities to flourish.
Our forwards just struggle to find separation which leads to the ball hitting the deck, being contested and rebounding back.
Compare this to forward entries that the Geelong forwards were receiving and it looks like they kept strolling through for marks with little to no pressure.
I dont think the 19's have been announced yet but as for the East Freo futures, Callan-Albrecht really stood out to me as someone who had future potential. He was always open, done some massive runs and just backed himself bouncing it 2-3 times.
For those behind the pay wall.

I've followed the WC list quite closely and I can assure you, its far from a true reflection of draftable talent that they are developing. A lot of those players aren't on WAFL colts lists. Some of them aren't even playing anymore so it looks like WC simply submitted a list of eligible athletes...
Dont stress mate, I am sure many people feel the same way, even the ones who have been doing it a long time. It's tough watching more then a handful of players and even then without a replay you tend to miss a lot of the little things.
Liked reading your analysis. I was watching WP and didn't...
Clayton Taylor who will be a potential 2022 draft player and is one to watch this season in the West Perth Colts.
He's part of your Stephen Hill Academy and reminds me of Cyril Rioli in that he doesn't rack up big numbers but his possessions are very damaging.
The club should be overjoyed with the level of quality coming through the system over the next couple of years. Quite a few talented 2020 colts players will be looking to make their seniors debut or add to their recent tally no doubt.
