    Coronavirus/COVID-19

4 weeks ago Australia ranked 102 of all nations in terms of gross infection numbers. As of today, we rank 42 and will enter the top 40 in a few days. That's noteworthy. Of course, we are well down the list in comparative death rates but perhaps from an outsider's point of view, our current...

Game Day AFLW - Dogs vs Demons 7:00pm AEST

Listening to Nathan Burke's post match interview it's obvious we've started the season with several important players on the injury list. This forces us to play some players who are fringe in terms of skill level and/or experience and I think that clearly showed out last night. Hopefully, when...

Game Day AFLW - Dogs vs Demons 7:00pm AEST

A good fighting effort by our team but they were outclassed by a better-skilled, better coached team. Injury attrition rate didn't help our cause.

Much better pressure in that quarter but Dees still able to have players free through the centre who continue to run the ball forward.

Game Day AFLW - Dogs vs Demons 7:00pm AEST

Our backline held firm under immense pressure but it's a real mess once the ball is kicked outside the 50 metre zone.

Game Day AFLW - Dogs vs Demons 7:00pm AEST

There is a chasm between these two teams' skill levels, particularly once the ball is free of the stoppages.

Looks like Huntington has done her knee again. Disaster!

Game Day AFLW - Dogs vs Demons 7:00pm AEST

In the 1st quarter Melbourne players were taller, faster, more skilful and had a better game plan. Apart from that, our girls are giving it their best.

All the best for the festive season, one and all

Merry Christmas to all my Bulldog Big Footy family. Like all families we argue and have clashes of personality but we all have something very important in common: we love our Western Bulldogs. Onwards and upwards to a great and successful 2022.

Training Alright, alright, alright! Its the 2022 Pre-season training thread.

Well, why not! It's unlikely he'll get regular games in his usual spots so he might as well become a 2nd ruck. Just a bit better than using mid-fielders.

Haven't seen him in any video clips or photos thus far. May have a niggle.

I'm sure she's hoping to meet him. Is that Imelda Marcos?

Bit surprised about that. He's shown great potential as a leading, marking forward. Perhaps there are just no vacancies in the forward line for his type. I see he's filling out to be a very athletic-looking young man.

I didn't know we traded Bailey Smith in the off-season.🤔

I see Pat Lipinski has been given guernsey No 1 at Collingwood. A sign of high expectations?

Welcome to the Bulldogs, Charlie Parker

Reminds me a bit of Grant Birchall - similar running gait and long kicking style.

I think that these comments are first and foremost those of a manager who is trying to boost the worth of his client which is his role I suppose. And yet, the tone suggests that our offer needs to be a very good one because there are plenty of other possible bidders out there which he will consider.

Western Bulldogs and their partnership with Ballarat a success

I'm not sure if these stats are available but it would be very interesting to see the numbers of local region Bulldogs members and also how many of these are attending the 2 games played at Mars. I can accept that the financial benefits for the town justify the expense by the local council and...

Welcome to the Bulldogs, Charlie Parker

This pick seems to be based on potential rather than any outstanding form. In his 9 games for Sturt he was not listed in the best players in any of them. Averaged 13.9 disposals, 2.8 marks. His main attribute was kicking efficiency at 94%. Has 'come out of the blue' playing for Sturt this...
