A-League Men Round 7 - We Are Back!

I can't believe 10 aren't showing Saturday night on the main channel and promoting the hell out of both matches. From a WC squad perspective they lucked into a couple of really great tv games this week.

I strongly suspect CA have said he needs to admit his role inCT, which he has chosen to spin as “airing crickets dirty laundry” and invoking his family. Extraordinary timing.

What development has been put into him as a leader? If the answer is none, then installing him as captain is a huge risk. Sad state of affairs when you're captaining the test team by default. I'm not sure why Khawaja has never been considered, he's been Qld captain for a while.

Still extraordinary to me that Smith is back in the leadership. Not only was Cape Town nothing if not a complete failure of leadership off field - but he was a bog average on field captain as well (aside from the obvious growth spurt in his batting when captain.)

A-Leagues & Football Australia - General Chat and News Thread

I really like this new marketing campaign - "The A-League: where Socceroos are made." There are 2 problems with it: 1. I think you already have to be a football fan who has already decided on the A-league to see it 2. I don't think we've done a good enough job (perhaps before this season with...

    Australian Wrestling thread

Aussie Open, the VeloCities, Brady Ltd and the Natural Classics all made PWIs top 100 tag teams. The tag list seems even more kayfabe than they men's 500 and the women's 150, so probably not surprising that the Parea and BDE aren't in it.

Tasmania Battle for the Tasmanian License Megathread - "in principle agreement reached", stadium dependent 18/11

I think it's hard to convince people when you have a housing crisis, unmanned ambo stations, a health crisis with an inability to access mental health or drug services... and 2 perfectly good stadia that are already hosting AFL. The stadium should be something we work towards after we have the...

Vic How would you rate Daniel Andrews' performance as Victorian Premier? - Part 7

I'd suggest that if you only need to see a GP twice a year you're miles in front!

Vic How would you rate Daniel Andrews' performance as Victorian Premier? - Part 7

You get 39 or something back from Medicare. And as someone who has been genuinely broke, I've never had a GP or a psychologist throw me out cos I couldn't afford to pay. If you're in hardship (ie. have a pension card or health care card), you can generally find a bulk billing service.

You're all overestimating the Scottish league. I doubt anyone on this board watches more SPL than I do - Celtic is my only European team. City aren't beating Celtic, but they would absolutely be a top half team in Scotland. Perth are an extreme example cos they suck. But Wellington or Brisbane...

Vic How would you rate Daniel Andrews' performance as Victorian Premier? - Part 7

Channel 9 had a story tonight with some woman outraged at how long it took to see a doctor at RCH yesterday, before matter of factly saying "I'm not going to pay $85 to see a GP" as though it's the stupidest thing ever. Maybe she got a bad edit, but I reckon your argument loses some weight if...

What the hell does salary mean? Harry Maguire earns more in a month than Harry Souttar earns in a year. But go ahead and tell me after the last 2 weeks that Maguire is 12 times better than Souttar. By the way, you don't get to say something ******* ignorant and then say "you don't want to get...
