Agree with most of your points above re Ginbey, but not the Foley/Waters comparison. Don’t see that Foley is anything like Waters whose main trait was a hard kamikazi attack on the ball. Foley nothing like this.

It appears that those concepts are not a part of his mental landscape.

To be fair Trew showed a bit in his debut game against Richmond.

I am ok with Ginbey and Allan at our first two picks. Both seem to have real running power and speed which we lack. Hewett at #20 would be the icing on the cake. Would be happy with MacKenzie also if Ginbey is gone. Allan and Jefferson or Busslinger as our first two picks would be the...

I’ve had those kind of dreams. I went and bought myself a great bike when I was old enough. Later I sold the good bike cheaply, now I have an ok one.

Would prefer Allan to Jefferson, Hewett even more so.

How much longer can Nisbett and co preside over this mess? At least the bank balance is healthy.

What a shambles and embarrassment. This team is going nowhere except lower and lower. Turned over half the list and brought in a bunch of hacks and rejects to increase the mediocrity. A few players showed improvement and development - Thomas, McDonald, Lakay, Rowley. Roberts showed a lot in...

From results and performance it looks as though they don’t care. The worst performed team in the competition since their inception. Prior appears completely out of his depth. Very frustrating and disappointing.

A well drilled team in peak physical condition versus a rabble or bunch of tryers - hence the expected result. ’Try and surge it forward’ as the basic instruction isn’t going to win too many games especially with a toothless forward line.

Game Day WCE v Melbourne Sat Oct 29th 10.10am @ Casey Fields

On paper at least, with three exceptions, the starting 16 doesn’t look too bad. Quality starts to fall off a cliff with the interchange. The team badly needs more height - a second key forward, a second key back and a second ruck. Prior really has his favourites. Imahra Cameron’s career looks...

Despite ROB saying the top 5-15 are even they may well still have their eye on one or two players in particular. Saying they are even is the political statement.

Why? We would still have gained #12 as a bonus and picked the player we wanted at something more closely approximating market price. Makes a lot of sense to me for both parties. Although on the downside we have virtually given up Rioli for free, so it’s Rioli for #12 minus a downgrade on the...

If there was a choice between Mackenzie and Allan, surely we would have to pick Mackenzie - you would think. Mackenzie is an accomplished balanced midfielder with great disposal. Allan ran fast in a time trial and is tall but it’s not clear even where he would play. I don’t think I would be...

We should have a super strong defence which we will need with our projected midfield. Insanity.

Darling has been playing as a key forward for ten to twelve years and has played better when Kennedy wasn’t there. He is very durable and will probably be our next 300 game player. Question about Allen is his fitness, not his ability. Sure, a developing kpf would be good although we supposedly...

Midfield more important imo. Redden gone, Shuey about to die, Gaff dead already, will Yeo be able to play midfield again? Gaping holes there.
