I’d play Kennedy as the wing. He has the running capacity to do it all day and has done so in the past. I see the wing position as a specialist position so I would be critical of who goes there
Stone I see as a forward
Held his ear up to the crowd to encourage the boos. As wehr was helped from the ground he winked and had some comments to say. Clearly they were poor taste cos our trainer had a go at him and the umpire has to tell the trainer to pull his head in. So cogs stepped in and kept having a go at him...
Riccardi was poor
I saw multiple times that brent daniels was trying to direct him to lead into the best spot. He sooked it up. FOr a player who provides zero defensive pressure he needs to provide more offensively
Cramps increase recovery time. I doubt we will have a main session (or at least a proper one) this week as a result
Three massive outs
Pez- I have ward covering him and stone into the forward line
Whitfield- he played limited minutes against Gold Coast but fehey looks great. I would play him...
The comparisons of talent on each line are useless. It’s the way you play with that talent
Imo we should win on Sunday comfortably. And if we don’t….. we’ll it’s going to be a long old season cos there are a lot of teams better than the crows out there
The midfield on paper looks good I agree
But their output has not been strong enough to warrant being in the conversation as one of the top midfield groups in the league. In what area were they elite? Tackles don’t count because we never had the ball last year so of course they will tackle...
I think it’s actually the opposite
They want him to be an enforcer and impose himself. He didn’t get the balance right on Saturday which he will work on
But they want him to play to his aggressive strengths
We should rename this the clash of potential. Both fan bases would be bullish on their prospects this year and looking at the potential of their team and how it shapes on paper to evidence that.
Personally I think we have it on them with our def and they have it on us in the forward line
One...
Look Melb won a flag off of a pretty average forward line so its possible. But looking at the forwards that Adelaide are putting together for example is making me jealous.
I still worry about the forward line. I just don't see where the goals are coming from. We would need strong years from the senior guys like TFG and breakouts from others to really be competitive.
Im really happy with the other lines and think we are solid there.
Hopefully the fast ball...
If the players believe there will be success they will stay
I see this season as pivotal. I hope the game plan is something we can capitalize on and shoot up the ladder while the senior players are still this side of 30
If it doesn’t work, players like ash and Harry will see the writing on the...
Stone has got to be a lock now doesn't he?
My main worry is with Bedford out and Jones/Daniels under injury clouds, we are now short of the three fastest and most agile smalls on the list. We cant play a slow and unaccountable forward line again... it hurts us too badly on the rebound
