That’s pretty disappointing to be honest. That would be the kind of volume that drop off after after a season like 2022 regardless of Stinkley’s nauseating aroma. This is why we find ourselves so bitter. There’s not enough action taken by the paying members to trigger change.
There were no suitors willing to pay a price that meant Port would let him leave as a contracted player. It says it all really, league-wide he just isn’t valued highly so no point getting upset about the Stink on this one.
I’d be more inclined to ask
1. why did the suns open bidding by offering Bowes AND pick 7
2. how did the reigning premiers afford to pay Bowes 800k for the next two seasons (a sure sign of a weak league if the premier can do that)
