Gotta disagree with you here Denny, the WP player has his back turned and is hit from behind.
I class that as a king hit and there was no need for it, there was nothing leading up to the round arm either.
If his record is as bad as is being suggested on here, I think he's copped his right whack.
Great courage shown by the youngster, didn't take his eyes of the ball at any stage.
Also some good sportsmanship shown by Thomastown with some of their players checking on his welfare and acknowledging his courage, great to see !
There's been comments of a broken nose and if that was the case surely he be bleeding ?
I don't see any cut or blood on the Laurimar player, as I said earlier 1 week for stupidity.
FWIW I don't follow Morang the initial tackles causes the melee and #11 remonstrates. Yes there was a punch and he will get a week or 2 at the most.
No doubt both were dumb acts but some of your comments are over the top...who do you follow ??
You can't see if there's any real contact, surely the player will get the benefit f doubt.
I don't follow either team but after reading some of the comments I thought I'd take a look and gee there's some bed wetters in here.
Wastin time, you have to be kidding 10 weeks, possibly 1 for stupidity and you say Hall threw 5 punches ?...geez don't spoil a good story by telling the truth.
I have to say I agree 100%, 4 weeks for what ?
This is why people are turning away in droves, the over officiating is killing the game.
Wasn't a free kick and definitely not a report.
I think everyone bar yourself knew what Gazman07 meant...maybe that phone call should of been made then to clear this up rather than all the back and forth on bigfooty which only reflects poorly on the Lalor footy club ?
As I've posted previously I watched the vision only and obviously without seeing if anything was happening behind play, my take was that he threw himself about and crashed a few blokes albeit a couple were a little late... he certainly wasn't intimidated or out of his depth.
I would also agree...
I had a look at the first half vision and he certainly didn't look out of his depth, also he's not afraid to throw himself about and crash a few blokes. NH had a couple of other youngsters that looked handy too #6 was a classy, smooth moving left footer, #12 a strong onballer . Great to see NH...
Hey Richo what type of player is Cooper, could you compare him to anyone and does he play like his dad ?
What a great achievement to play senior footy at such a young age and well done to NHFC for giving him that opportunity.
In the VAFA it would dealt as follows.
If the umpires didn't hear the comments but are made aware of them by the Bundoora player or an official, they would note the Q and time this incident took place and a report would be then written after the game and sent to the league HQ.
The opposition...
Just watched the Nth Heidelberg v Bundoora game on replay and what a cracking game of football it was !
No easy kicks and no where to hide out there, it had everything that you love to see at local football.
Respect to both teams !!
Just out of curiosity which D4 clubs were paying ?, as a player in that division a few clubs were bandied around but never taken any further.
Not looking to dob anyone in just curious.
