Is it just me, or has AFC had a completely shit development culture over the past 10-15 years.
There are two complementary but diametrically opposite themes that have seemed to persist for at least the last 10 years:
1. An entitled senior player culture (eg Laird, Brodie Smith)
2. Gaslighting...
This bloke is a ****ing work horse. I’ve never seen a bloke extract more out of himself than this guy.
Well done Keaysy- you picked a team up and sumo’d them over the line.
Brilliant.
To all those who like to criticise him, **** off. This bloke belongs in the top tier of our team.
Here’s an interesting thought, who is the worst player getting a game rucking in some capacity for another team that you would take in a heart beat over ROB / Strachan?
I reckon Mason Cox. I would legit prefer to see him ruck for us.
So excited by the increased midfield time Rash is getting as per all those preseason articles.
So I thought I’d just keep a tally of our pick 6 future midfielders Centre Bounce Attendance stats for the year.
Centre Bounce
Round 1: 1
Round 2: 1
Round 3: 0
Round 4: 0
Cumulative: 2
Will update...
Sorry for another thread but I think one focussed on the current game plan is warranted given it is the elephant in the room.
I appreciate all the other threads talking about changes to the lineup and midfield mix etc which I all agree with.
But surely at the moment the #1 issue we need to...
This gentleman has broken down umpire bias in terms of home and away teams, in particular looking at the difference between Vic teams v non Vic teams both at home and away.
The stats speak for themselves.

Have posted a poll to get views, but in the interest of...
THE AFC HAS TO FIGHT THIS ALL THE WAY… PARTICULARLY GIVEN THERE WAS NO THOUGHT OF THESE CHANGES FOR ASHCROFT OR DAICOS, BUT NOW WELSH IS ON THE HORIZON…

LEAGUE FLAGS CHANGES TO BIDDING SYSTEM...
MODS - THIS NEEDS TO STAY A MAIN BOARD THREAD, NOT RELEGATED TO THE ANALS OF BIGFOOTY. IF IT IS RELEGATED THEN BIGFOOTY IS AS COOKED AS THE AFL
Ok - simple poll. Apart from Bulldogs fans, who else bothered watching the last 7-8 minutes of tonight’s match after that dissent rule call?
One final push everyone.
All the other dominoes have fallen but we cannot rest until this bloke is gone.
Chappy has now overseen another official disaster. This bloke has more lives than a cat.

Best of luck to Dangerfield next weekend in the grand final sprint.
He already has three to his name and if he nominates again this weekend he can take the all time record.
Another chance for an individual achievement. Go for it Danger!

Folks, thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for all things Geelong vs Swans Semi-Final

Here's to the two of them beating the living daylights out of each other.
Friends - a safe place to share your tin foil hat theories without fear of ridicule or reprisal (ok, maybe not).
So come on everyone, let's share our wild arse conspiracy theories that have no foundation apart from in our own feeble twisted little minds.
I'll go first:
I reckon Campo pushed...
It was absolutely obvious to all and sundry on this board that the champ was way past it. The second half of last year was proof that the game had past him.
So there are no surprises that his game panned out how it did.
9 touches and 5 frees against shows how much he struggled.
Not the way...
So we let Carlton run two free off their half back flank and drive the ball forward all day. No response from the coaches box.
Against hawks - let them run a free man in defence all night. No response from the coachs box.
Against north - didn't put a spare man back in the first quarter against...
With the departure of the boards favourite whipping boy from the best 22, the position has become vacant.
There are some early rumblings already with Douglas, Jenkins, Otten, Atkins, Kelly, Brouch and Hartigan being names that have been thrown out there so far. One or two posters have even had...
So I've been watching this guy closely since Adelaide played GWS in round 1.
Mumford spent that entire game going up for the ruck with his knee squarely pointed out trying to give Jacobs a corkie. He does this every week.
His other two specialties are:
1. to tackle with fists closed to try to...
There was a good suggestion on our board that the ANZAC Day clash should be shaken up a bit so that the two best Vic sides from the previous year play each other.
Given ANZAC Day can fall on any day of the week it makes sense for it to not involve sides that would need to travel.
Surely this...
Crows missed out on top 4 by percentage and lost a few close ones throughout the year.
Last week more than any showed the massive chasm of the Crows midfield left by Dangerfields departure.
Would Dangerfield in the Crows midfield this year have taken them to top 4 (probably top 2) with home...
I've heard some argue that the Crows SANFL team should face some sort of handicap in the SANFL to even up the competition (eg limit how many afl listed players can play a game, only get half premiership points per game).
I posit that the SANFL team already is being handicapped, by the umpires...
Pykey, now it is the off season, you have the opportunity to implement some change that you didn't have the time or opportunity to do last year. Which path do you choose?
What would Blight do:
- Thommo: please retire
- Mackay: your AFL days at the AFC are over, either seek a trade or play SANFL...
Our kickouts have been impotent all year. Whilst we occasionally get a coast to coast goal which is great, it feels like we turn our kickouts over more than any other top 8 team.
What are we doing wrong:
- we seem to have the closest player kickout: I reckon most of our backs / mids have...
Just thinking about the possible outcomes of winning or losing this week, and it dawned on me that beating West Coast this week is probably more important to our premiership chances than winning week 1 of the finals.
Lose this week and we finish 5th and no double chance. One home final then...
Has anyone else noticed that there seem to be limited replays of goals and frees in game these days?
I can understand if the pace of the game these days makes it difficult to show replays of frees immediately, but even when there's a goal they tend to only replay it once the umpire is about to...
