Sounds good in theory but it seems like every time a trade falls through for a player, that player never ends up at the club who was originally interested the following year.
As the Lachie Schultz trade hopes began to fade,
Fans clashed in fervor, in a trade offer crusade.
Collingwood and Fremantle, embroiled in debate,
Over trades and negotiations, stirred the fans' irate state.

Well, let me tell you, Collingwood is absolutely the fairest club you've ever seen at the trade table. They're tremendous, believe me. In fact, they're so generous that they practically invented the term "Collingwood tax." People say it's like a charity, folks. When you're dealing with...
They are paying him $700K per year according to HS. 4 year deal with a trigger for a fifth.

I don't believe this is correct. You only drop a position if the total points remaining are less than the next pick. So if we had pick 1 and accrued a 480 point deficit we would have 2520 points remaining on that pick 1 which is more than 2517 points that pick 2 holds, meaning we would keep pick 1.

TBF the general public have been downplaying the seriousness of the situation for months here. A month ago "it can't happen to us". A week ago "it's not as bad as the flu". Also a week ago people were being mocked on the main board for even thinking about not going to the footy. Still today we...
I love the way Callum Brown plays, there is no way I'd look to trade him. I'd also keep Daicos and Appleby as they wouldn't be on much coin and could still become decent players, wouldn't get much for them ATM anyway. I love Chris Mayne too, not many could have handled the backlash and pressure...
Pretty sure we play Geelong no matter what happens now. If Brisbane win we finish 3rd and Geelong finish 2nd and we play Geelong. If Richmond win we finish 4th and Geelong finish 1st and we still play Geelong.
Pretty sure the fact that he was an unrestricted free agent means that the original sum of his final year won't count under our salary cap. If he'd been a restricted FA we'd have to count it regardless.
