My guess for tonight is a tight loss after letting essendon open up the game and get a run on and then clawing back late in the 4th. Oh and patches were we absolutley out play them but can't put it on the scoreboard.
Always love a win, but think alot went right last week despite some issues in...
On the flip side a quicker sacking may lead to better development of our younger players (more games for those that need it and playing in their actual positions).
However agree you don't want to go too early and have the caretaker (probably VB) trying to ressurect the season in order to land...
Credit to my brother for this one - but yeah seems odd that all the talk about mid attendance for rash has lead to near on nothing.
Sure he needs to improve his defensive play - but right now we eed attacking play anyway. Plus what are development coaches for?
While I fully agree Tex will leave huge shoes to fill - if we fix our midfield and improve our forward 50 entries our lesser light forwards will be given alot more opportunities. It won't fully cover the loss but its hard to shine in a forward line with nothing but long bombs or kicks...
Agree with this. It's not just marking but ground balls as well. How often we have three going for the ball only for it to slip out to a spare opposition player to run away with it.
Think this was a problem last year as well but was offset by our attacking style and quick movements meaning we...
I'm torn - want a win to rip it up the AFL. Want a loss for pick 6 and at least get something out of that damn umpiring reaming.
But most of all I want Tex to kick an absolute bag.
So I think I'd split the difference make 6 or 7 changes and if we get the win so be it, but if not we can stil...
When I saw the team announced by Smith I was pretty pissed, but I thought maybe it's a management thing with the kids. Maybe they need some time to freshen up or are a bit sore (I mean would have been surprised about Pedlar seeing as his last stint out wasn't that long ago). I could at least...
Apparently we go alright at the Gabba. Our winningest venue (percentage wise) I read the other day.
Still don't think we will win, but interesting stat none the less.
It is plainly not good enough.
Regardless of what we do outside of this trade we could of got more from Geelong.
This club has been through the ringer for the last 4-5 years and needed to have a moment to stand strong and say no more, this was supposed to be it.
Instead we cave.

Sorry not picking on you but this line of thinking pisses me off.
Pick 14 plus pick 86 is better than compo, doesn't mean we should accept it.
Even if they don't have the currency we should be pushing for them to find it.
He doesn't get to Geelong without them satisfying us.
His worth is two...
Look as I said it's not too bad. I guess the question is what would it take to get Redden and Aish from Brisbane on our own? I would think Pick 13, our second next year and maybe a Wright or something would get it over the line. And when you compare that to Pick 9/2016 pick one I think we are...
It's better than some of the other suggestions that have been floated.
But I don't think redden is worth pick 9 assuming that is what we are forgoing to get him. And if he is worth pick 9 then danger is worth a lot more.

From memory redden has indicated he wants to leave Brisbane despite being contracted. Not 100% on his worth but as a contracted mid I would say a low first rounder- early second (haven't really kept an eye on his form). So would definitely help bridge the difference

No I wouldn't. Don't really want him to stay at all, as he has made his choice. But if it came down to Pick 9 and Murdoch or for Danger 2 years and a compo pick around the same I would take the second.
Honestly I have liked the suggestion of involving Brisbane the most. Getting Redden would...
The balancing act is pick 14(for arguments sake) and two years of danger vs pick 9 and greegson.
I would probably take the first.

Ok so danger who is worth more than Burgoyne (at time of trade , which I think we can all agree on) isn't worth two first rounders? When Burgoyne and change got two?

Mean that if Patricks second option is to stay with the crows (if a deal can't be manufactured) then would the crows be happy to pay pick 14 for Danger and lose him for nothing in two years. Would any club? I think if you know you are going to get two years of danger at his peak the cost is...
