Disappointed Brown got injured- so many people have him in their teams and he was looking like a midpriced trap if you asked me. Apparently out for 6 weeks, so I won't be able to watch with joy when he doesn't increase in price as much as a rookie.
Mohr- 198cm and 98kg. If he doesn't play FB, then who does? Davis? He's 197cm and 94kg, so maybe. That leaves Mohr at CHB on the 2nd tall forward. Not a DT friendly role.
EDIT- only other option might be o'hAilpin- 199cm and 98kg.
He said (assuming he exists ;)), "Lock, lock, maybe and lock."
I'm avoiding Cameron personally- got to see a fair bit of GWS last year in the NEAFL and it's possible that he might play more like a KPP. Will wait to see what his role is in the NAB cup.
Have a friend who works with GWS closely (won't give you any details to protect his identity just in case), but I grilled him last week and he says that Sam Darley and Devon Smith are carving up at training and pending good shows in the NAB cup will be locks. Darley off the HBF/wing and Smith...
Another strategy might be to start offloading your GWS rookies from round 9 (if they start hitting the top of the rollercoaster), trading in other rookies and stockpiling some cash to bring in premiums over rounds 11-13
What I posted in the 'AFL draft' forum:
I've gone back through all the match reports I could drag up from the Giants and looked at the best players.
In the NAB Challenge Cup games it was unsurprising to see Giles and Sheil appear in the list each time. With another 12 months of development...
I dunno on this one. I don't doubt the class of Coniglio. A given. But Shiel had been touted as a top 3 pick, has excellent skills and is similar in size and shape as Coniglio. He also now has the added bonus of having one full preseason with the Giants, pretty much a full season learning and...
Disagree with your call on Rockliff- was a fwd rookie in his first season averaging 87.2 (with a massive second half of the season- close to 100 average)
Treloar is a gun.

I've seen Shiel a number of times in the flesh in the NEAFL this year and he is all class.
Not so sure the wraps that people are giving Jack Hombsch and Gerald Ugle are warranted- I didn't really notice them as players, let alone DTers. I guess time will tell.
I know lots of DT coaches are concerned about the multi-bye rearing its ugly head again, but surely we should be more worried by the fact that GWS have 12 of the top 15 picks in a draft that is arguably 'talent poor'?
With most of the best young players going to GWS, we are going to have a...

Re: Famous DT Coaches Thread 2011
I feel ridiculous asking this question because I've seen people refer to it elsewhere, but seeing as you put it out there and my tiny brain can't seem to work it out, I thought I'd ask why it is only a 25 point difference and not a 50 point difference? My...
