I think the selection committee would have to take Bama or risk a split championship if someone other than FSU or Auburn won. I know a lot Of AP voters would chose Bama with an impressive win over Ohio St in some bowl over, a Michigan St that has just squeaked by Auburn and FSU.

I would take MSU simply because they only have one loss, would prefer to take Stanford, MSU>OSU gives them the edge on the bears but not by much.

I just think that passing at a third rate uni, shouldn't be considered higher than graduating from a world class school like stanford. I'd take the academics of Stanford Football over Boise anyday.

Reading how they calculate these rankings, they don't show great academics etc. But primarily how the football team compares to the student body at large.
