I've had a brief read of the recent posts here.
I don't think it is useful to compare the Port Club to nearby establishments. Such places attract a vast array of people, independent of Football allegiance.
The Port club attracts (mainly), Port Adelaide supports, and the occasional local...
That's because he knows he doesn't compare to the 2nd best player in the league: Taylor Walker.
P.S. Mark Ricciuto should continue to be a football commentator.
As members (most of us, presumably), we should surely have the right to hear WHY certain players were delisted. Surjan being shown the door is a joke. I could list a handful of players that should go before him.
I'm originally from Adelaide (from birth to 27), and have lived in Sydney for the last 2 years.
I love Adelaide. I'm not too fond of Sydney. It may have something to do with growing up there, or it may just appeal to me more.
Regardless, what other people think of our preferred place means...
Rucci has posted a second article which is a little less definite than the first.

Barrett has said this leaves us in "disarray". Wallace said it leaves us to our 4th or 5th choice, muppet said "oh no, 7th or 8th".
And Wallace just said he never had one conversation with us.
Rhode (on trade radio on afl.com.au) has basically said that Cameron is talking to GWS today (already confirmed, I know). He didn't seem too positive regarding our chances of attaining his services.
As far as trades go (wrong thread, but brief), he said Pearce can go, the Freo offer was...
I feel that the negatives outweigh any positives. It starts from the top. Securing the services of a few high profile players is great, but means nothing when we struggle to secure a top level sponsor, and can't attract a coach.
As people have said - there are many possibilities. Cameron may...
Not a big loss from a playing perspective (amazing talent, pathetic consistency). But the PAFC seems less and less like a football club that people want to play for.
Some of you are saying that if Cameron doesn't want us, that's fine - we don't need people like that at our club. While I agree with the sentiment, it doesn't send a good message to the AFL (and greater) community.
If we can't secure our 2nd or even 3rd choice, we will surely be seen as a...
Thanks, I know how to work the google machine :)
Third-party articles don't tell the whole story though. We seem to be a fairly sharp community here, and I hoped that someone would be able to give me a CURRENT breakdown.
I wasn't there, as I live in Sydney at the moment. I would have most definitely been there if I could have been though.
Low crowds only exacerbate the problem, particularly that of player morale.
Hi all.
I was just wondering how much we create in revenue, and how much of that goes to the SANFL. Also, how much do we get back? I'm having a discussion with someone and would be interested to know the figures.
Exactly. Treadrea was a true great. He deserved to "play it up" a bit. It may have been arrogant, but his skill and dedication afforded him the right to be proud. Footy players aren't allowed to do anything these days.
