When you are referring to can't run, are you referring to speed or endurance or both? I watched plenty of D'Aloia in his juniors and whilst not the quickest didn't look slow or poor endurance (but admit may have been blinded by the fact he generally dominated). But tip my hat that you picked...
I was hoping we might have picked up Adam Daloia, ripping kid and has dominated juniors but can appreciate his height and attributes aren't in fashion at the moment.
His Dad played for Woodville West Torrens, his grandad was a legend of Torrens and played 300+ games. Not sure if Mattaes is a port supporter, but if he is I doubt that he is a die hard one. He was more interested in basketball.
We have to remember that we also need to deal with these clubs each year. If you are going to bend someone over then it is likely they will get the opportunity to bend you over at some stage and say remember when you bent us over. I.e. Carlton bent us over for Gibbs, so we got them back with...
Port fans must be over the moon. I was hoping that it fell through and we made a big play for him next year. Doh!! Still ... I am hopeful that Rankin/Rachele/Soligo/TT/Fogarty start to light it up.
Longtime since I have posted... but need to vent. P!ssnF4rkF4arker.... I actually didn't want to move Brad on and to move him on for well below his trade value is dissappointing to say the least. This is completely embarrassing and Kane Cornes is going to have a field day. Crows hierarchy...
Hope you are right. Not saying for a second that I know more than the recruiters, solely basing my opinion on the 2 minute videos and brief bios and that champion data had Valente at 10 and he is an SA lad.
So if we win the flag this year (which is still a long shot), would that ease the pain of Danger going? Also if he does leave will people boo him when we play against him?
Agree with your comments about Tim Ginever, I have met him a few times at a few sports/beer shows and he is a cracking bloke and very entertaining. Hopefully Bicks will open up a bit about the recent goings on at AFC, but I doubt he will. No doubt he will play a straight bat.
I am sure they did. We shopped Smack last year and got no takers hence the reason we delisted him pretty much as soon as the season finished. No doubt shopped Pets and obviously no takers there either.
Lyon's name kept coming up. So one would assume we haven't had any significant bites that...
Awesome. Would welcome back Davis no problems at all. Ottens is still likely to need another season to get his confidence back once he returns from the ACL.
I agree, I like the days of having two ruckmen. Something about watching big clumsy looking dudes trying to run makes me feel better about myself :)
Nothing better than seeing one ruckman trying to chase down another ruckman.
Wow.... What an undesirable position the bulldogs are in. If their coach gets the sack I would not like to be Griffen. He will forever be remembered as the player who got the coach sacked (as unfair that might be). I can't see Griffen staying even if the coach gets the marching orders. How...
I wonder how much playing in front of a great crowd is an influence for players to move clubs. It must be pretty ordinary playing for GWS in front of 7K fans compared to 50K fans all barracking for you.
Davis must miss the Adelaide crowds.
I found Walsh's comment about having an assistant that is being groomed for the top role interesting. I wonder if we have lured someone with a bit of a Howard-Costella promise?
