Convo in the Arrowman household last night:
Mrs A: Who are you playing this week?
A: Port.
Mrs: Where?
A: Here, of course. Where else would it be?
Mrs: Well you never know what the AFL will come up with, do you?
For someone who knows zip about football, she's got the AFL worked out.

So, strawberries are a fruit, not a berry.
- or at least, an "aggregate accessory fruit".
But eggplants and pumpkins are berries.
Oh God...
“Luke hurt his shoulder that he’s had a few minor issues with in the past in a contest early in the game,” Burgess said.
“He had to come off and he’s seeing the surgeon today. We’re not too sure where that will lead but he will miss this weekend for sure.
“It’s a bit sore but the initial scans...
I remember when that happened, what a joke. I think Bruce made a joke about it at a later Hyde Park concert- "Are we going to break another curfew, Stevie?"
You were there? Lucky man. I'm off in a few weeks to see him at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. :)
I haven't seen the interview, but on reflection, I guess it's OK for a player to voluntarily acknowledge there are/were shortcomings in their performance, and they're going to work on that. I don't think they should be pushed out in front of the media for a public mea culpa but I doubt...
Where was that? I don't have a problem with some man conversations behind closed doors about some of his actions on the field, that's actually good coaching.
But it shouldn't go public.
I don't have a problem with trans people as such. I do have a problem with - among other things - men demanding access to women's spaces because they say they are women.
I don't have a problem with "woman of the year" or whatever.
It's when they start giving those awards / places to men who say they are women that I have a problem. :)
It's easy to avoid having to make an argument on any subject if you just dismiss your opponents as "-ists" or "-phobes".
And it's not just "lingo" - it's the way it's put into practice that is the issue.
