So with an extra mid in the mix, had he started, wouldn't they have been able to manage his minutes in the same way? What happened to the "if you're declared fit, no excuses" mantra.
Our coaches seem pretty good at outsmarting themselves.
You said "a few weeks, I thought it was nearly a month".
A few generally means more than two, usually 3 or 4. I would say that's pretty close to a month.
I mean, when we say people are a couple, we always mean 2 don't we?
How much more do you want to fail?
Don't misquote me, my comment was in relation to his contested marking. He clearly has plenty of skills and will be an asset, I just don't think it will be as a contested marking forward.
Nah, they weren't being kicked over his head - he was running under them. Anticipating contact with Alir. I wont labour the point, and I hope he does toughen up a bit, but right now, he's just a little contact averse in aerial contests.
I'm glad you included the times he ran under the ball or avoided body contact in marking contests. Serious JJ vibes about his contested marking.
He will be a great running forward/ruck, but a strong marking pillar up forward he isn't.
Not sure what Jones you were watching. He's always been a straight line player, his issues were (and still are a bit) spatial awareness and decision making. Never got smashed in contests though he's a tough nuggett
It's one of those sports where the devil is in the detail. Unless you've grown up playing and/or watching it, or have spent a considerable time learning the intricacies of it, it just looks like a mash of players.
I actually learnt the game playing a board game simulator of it when I was a kid...
Nah, we did well there. It took him ages to break into the AFL system because of his work ethic, which was barely adequate. Then struggled to sustain it to remain on the park. Under the most sought after Fitness guy in the AFL. A leopard doesnt change its spots.
It's just poor quality (low res) and can be a bit choppy if you screen cast from your phone to the TV. That tech isn't really designed for the bitrate needed for watching sport.
