The best rivalry in the AFL since 2008, delivers yet again. Credit and respect to Hawthorn, they thoroughly deserved the win. They are the most skilled team in the AFL and are the best 'team' in the competition. Their synergy is unreal. I'm surprised at the consensus that the game was mediocre... -

Spot on. No matter how many premierships a team wins, how successful they are over a stretch of time (see Melbourne 1950s) or how well run they are currently. It never precludes the club from a severe drought. I treat every premiership we've won as potentially the last I will ever see. -

Credit where it's due, Hawks thoroughly deserved that win. I think they might just be the best 'team' in the AFL. They might not have the stars but they are greater than their sum of parts. Swans tackling was like ours in the GC game. McCartin and Mcinerny were useless for the Swans. Curnow too... -

While not an immediate need, I think another aspect of trading in Curnow the club might be thinking about is that it buys us 2-3 years post-Cameron to find a replacement/develop a kpf. -

Yeah, Brisbane are obviously the ones that pose the biggest obstacle for us. Possibly GWS as well. We need to hope the new players we bring in and internal improvement can help us bridge the gap in the midfield. We've been rebuilding on the run since the 22 GF, and it's not done yet. I think... -

2010 PF and 2021 PF easily alongside these. Ironically, we won the premiership after both disasters. We are in a better position compared to those losses. I'm optimistic about our next 5 years. -
