Fair enough. I thought it was good. I didn't expect to be a masterpiece but just expected a silly movie with a lot of laughs and that was exactly what it was.
I saw it last week and thought it was great.
It's funny how it's fashionable these to say that a movie is s**t, especially on online forums. Everyone in the movie theater was laughing and seemed to enjoy it and the people that i've spoken to that have seen it rated it very highly.
It's all...
I agree. I was certainly not prepared for how to assess effectively when I started with my first class this year. Definitely an important part of teaching and something you learn on the job. Uni certainly doesn't fully prepare you for the classroom
Yeah same. I thought the strange and strong taste might have been the fact that it claimed to have no preservatives or additives. I tried it along with two other mates and all of us hated it. Tasted like detergent had been mixed in with it.
Will have to try James Squire now.
I did all my teaching in one year through Charles Darwin. Best way to do it - 16 weeks of practical experience crammed into the year and then you're done.
Currently doing a 1 year contract after doing my dip ed last year.
Spot on this is what we used to do. Wakes would often take a strong mark, while another player applied a subtle shepherd. I was sitting in the pocket yesterday and had a good view of our kick in set ups. Numerous times Chad was in a position to call for the ball wide outside 50 for a kick in...
Well I agree, the team does have potential and that's the team I would like to see playing now. Although Brogan needs to stay and play with one of the developing rucks.
As a first year teacher, my job definitely takes over all aspects of my life more than I would like. It's a case of getting home and then spending hours preparing for the next day, fine tuning lesson plans. Then there's all the bullshit admin work and assessment. I'm hoping it will get easier...
Well i've started learning German and found it quite good so far. Picked up about 10 words today and can understand and say them quite well. Using the Rocket German internet course and finding it to be quite a good program. Early days though.
Guten aben, wie gehts dir? Mir zehr gut danke...
I think your right. It seems nowadays most schools that offer languages are taking Indonesian, Chinese or Japanese, with the view that these languages will be more useful to the next generation. I'm sure in previous generations, French would have been the main language offered at most schools.
Thanks for the replies people. Indonesian is a language offered at university, but although more relevant to Australia, it doesn't really interest me. I learnt Chinese in primary school and one again it's not a country I would like to go and live in at any stage.
French and German appeal...
I'm enthusiastic about the idea of learning a new language.
The languages that most appeal to me are French and German and I am wondering which one is easier to learn and which one is more relevant around the world. I would be teaching myself to start with, but may do a postgraduate course...
I suppose everyone has different experiences, but my experience from centrelink is very good. Was studying full time last year and working part time, and received all my payments on time, without any stuff ups. All I had to do was fill in how much I earned on their website and the money went...
