Review Round 4, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. North Melbourne

I thought I was exaggerating but a quick venture over to the North boards and it seems that a few of them agree with me. Having a laugh with your direct opponent not even 10 seconds after a 70 point loss is never a great look.

Review Round 4, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. North Melbourne

If I was a North supporter, I'd want Aiden Corr hung, drawn and quartered after seeing his post-game reaction with Joe.

Game Day Round 4, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. North Melbourne

Was worried that Hippy getting caught before would completely destroy his confidence. Hopefully that grab balances things out.

Coach Fages and the coaching group

You've gotta make sure that you sack your coach whenever the slightest amount of pressure builds. That's what successful clubs do 💪

    No Jed Adcock, No Brisbane.

Review Pr(O)logue Round, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. Carlton

While we're all overreacting, I'm devastated to hear that Keidean Coleman's leg requires amputation.

Review Pr(O)logue Round, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. Carlton

Fair enough. I'll take your word for it. I agree that we lack that real "foot on the throat" mentality and we have seen that over the last few seasons, but I don't think that's a reason to write us off completely, or that we'll losing multiple games this year by 50+ points. We're not a good...

Review Pr(O)logue Round, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. Carlton

I have no doubt you said the exact same after round 1 thing last season.

Review Pr(O)logue Round, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. Carlton

Would you have been happier if we dropped the game by 50+ points and never looked a chance? We took the foot off the pedal and played like a side who aren't worried about Round 0. Carlton will be a good team this year and had a point to prove. We'll be okay.

Couldn't go undefeated at the Gabba forever either. Best possible time to drop one.

Review Pr(O)logue Round, 2024 - Brisbane Lions vs. Carlton

Bad kicking is bad football. Lost comprehensively to a far worse side than Carlton in round 1 last year. We'll be okay.

    Review Season in review 2022

If you told me at the start of the year that we'd make a Prelim Final after finishing 6th, beat the Tigers by 2 points in an Elimination Final and the reigning premiers in the Semi - I would've been jumping for joy. Throw the #1 Draft Pick on top and it's been a ******* great year...

Always two sides to every story. This has played out almost exactly as the Jed Lamb/Mark Baguley sledging drama a few years ago.

Interstate clubs - games played in Melbourne

We were horrendous from 2014 to 2017, and only slightly less horrendous in 2012, 13 and 18. It's s**t that we've played so few games down here though.

And it had to be late Sunday afternoon of all time slots. Thanks for ruining the week, campaigners.

Review Round 20, 2022 - Richmond vs. Brisbane Lions

Best first half in years turns into the most heartbreaking game I've ever seen. Just not good enough when it mattered.

Review Round 15, 2022 - Melbourne vs. Brisbane Lions

Things are never as good or as bad as they seem. Midfield has issues that need to be addressed but I honestly thought the backline performed admirably given the amount of ball coming in, and the forwards never stood a chance.

Review Round 9, 2022 - Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions

How good's the rub of the green 💪 Hippy's return far exceeded any expectation. The tap on to Zorko and his follow up smother effort the highlights!

    Non-Lions discussion 2022

Review Round 4, 2018 - Richmond vs. Brisbane Lions

Round 12 - 2016 We face Fremantle, who have only just won their first game of the season the week before against Essendon's VFL side. We haven't had a win in 9 weeks since scraping past a typical Gold Coast side. We have a chance. Scores are level at quarter time and we're playing some...

Review Round 1, 2022 - Brisbane Lions vs. Port Adelaide

Genuinely good game of footy played between two top-4 sides. Haven't seen too many round 1 matches with that level of pressure. Thrilled with the result.

Game Day Semi Final, 2021 - Brisbane Lions vs. Western Bulldogs

My favourite part was when Caleb Daniel s**t himself, fell into Dayne Zorko and then got a free kick :)

Good to win ugly. Thought it was a pretty average game of footy though. Will be interesting to watch a replay with the commentary.
