Noah Anderson has just had 3 BOG matches in a row IMO and goes up against WC next week. Highly unlikely that he can walk away with the medal but the boy deserves some attention and hype because he has been incredible.
Tom with the 3 goals and Bont having a quiet patch before he fired up again late probably has me leaning towards Green getting the 3 votes.
I think Petracca a tad more likely than Oliver to get into the votes. Anderson should get the 3, then it's anyone's guess. I've given Trac 2 and Gawn 1...
Round 1 could see JDG and Pendlebury pick up 3 and 2. Tom Mitchell good but Daicos gets at least 1
Round 2 Darcy Cameron was outstanding and could get the 3, Daicos 2 at least
Round 3 JDG and Baker could poll the majors. 1 at least for Daicos
Round 4 stiff to not get BOG here but Rayner not...
Can get that much power being knocked on with his right fist whilst not having enough control of the ball with his left hand to justify calling it a handball.
I'm just trying to explain why they may not have awarded a disposal for that. I don't think it's as outrageous as you blokes are making...
It's just as much a knock on as it is a handball. Nobody can say with absolute certainty (unless you've got money riding on it) that he had any control of the ball with his left hand at the point of propulsion and didn't just knock it on with his right fist. It's less obvious than a Tom...
Spilled in the tackle is neither a disposal nor a free kick against for a throw and I'm inclined to side with the stats men on this one. Could just as easily argue that he spilled it then whacked it with his right fist.
Laird doesn't kick goals, doesn't have burst away from stoppage in an eye catching way and he handballs far more than he kicks. Big difference between 20 (often extremely damaging) kicks, 15 handballs and a goal or two vs 14 (mostly hack out of a pack) kicks, 19 handballs.
There's just no way...
They have access to them if they want to. Plus I'm sure they notice things that are put up on the scoreboards during the matches.
Umps have historically rated contested possessions and Daicos with his kick ins to inflate his numbers, and multitude of handball receives in the back half doesn't...
0 votes for Daicos this week sees the pack catch up a little.
Petracca excellent value at $19. He looks hungry to be the best player he can be at all times.
You guys giving Bont votes in round 5? Drew tagged him out of it and he had no influence in the last quarter when the game was on the line. Butters clear BOG, Houston and Rozee good for the winners, whilst Treloar was the Dogs best and I'd say English next, and Weightman with 4 goals in the wet...
Melbourne's named team is a bit odd with Chandler and Langdon at half back, and McVee at half forward.
Teams generally play 7 defenders and May, Lever, Bowey, Hibberd and McVee makes 5 and then there's Rivers, Brayshaw and Petty so that leaves room for our boy Harrison to play forward, but...
